OK, this is very specific but I'm hoping someone will know the answer.

At the Columbia Harbour House in MK, does anyone know if there is an elevator to get to the upstairs seating area? I'll have my parents with me on my next trip, and my mom will be using a wheelchair. She can do stairs, but it is very slow and difficult for her.

TIA!

no elevator that i have ever seen or know of.

sitting upstairs is so much better than down, i enjoy the small area that is over the walkway between. fun watching people watching walking from fantasyland.

Thanks, brady961! I also love that upstairs seating, and I know my folks would enjoy the great people watching while we have lunch. Too bad there is no elevator. Will have to see if my mom is up to the stairs at that point. She just has to take her time, and she gets embarrassed at how slowly she climbs them even though anyone else with her always says not to worry but just be careful and relax.

Again, thank you for your reply. :D

there is an elevator there I have been told. It is somewhere in the back by the kichen. there was a review about the tour that uses CHH as the lunch stop and someone in a WC said they used it so they could eat upstairs with everyone else. so just ask.

::yes:: I remember reading that too.
I have not seen the elevator though and the one time we asked, we were told the upstairs was closed (they do block it off at un-busy times, probably so the CMs have less to keep up).

There is an elevator. If you enter through the door closest to Fantasyland, it is to the left of the lines you order your food at. You have to go in through a swinging door into the kitchen and it is right there on the right. It is not a very big elevator (about big enough for a wheelchair, pusher and one other person) and the CM's told me that sometimes people have to wait a bit because they need to have a CM accompany them to the elevator.

Just ask a CM and I am sure that they will assist you!

Hey, that sounds very encouraging! We'll be sure to ask a CM and hopefully they will let us use the elevator.

Figaro, thank you for the exact description of where the elevator is. Sounds like it is mainly a service elevator if it's located through the kitchen doors, but maybe guests who need it can use it upon request.

Thanks so much, everyone! :D
