Very Touchy Subject Question... please help!

Why post this type of question if you don't want to hear both sides?

Not everyone will post an answer filled with pixie dust and hugs.

I am much more worried about the space now than the moral hell of an extra adult.

I wouldn't worry about the space issue. I doubt your youngest 2 are going to require a lot of privacy and it's only for a few days!

We stayed at the Yacht Club in 2000. We had 5 adults...Mom, Dad, 2 sisters and a boyfriend (my sister's, and adult or not, Mom and Dad are most definitely NOT ok with...well you know...;) Btw, bf is 6'3" and slept on the daybed with not one complaint!

We were at WDW and we had a ball! Sure, there were times someone was knocking on the bathroom door telling someone else to get a move on...but we took it all in stride, no big deal. By the end of the first day we had it all worked out. Some of us preferred showers at night, others preferred the mornings. Some preferred to sleep in a bit while others got ready.

If your group is easy going and doesn't stress out much...I think you'll survive....

Burning in hell??? Sorry, not my field of expertise...;) ;) But if giving someone your leftover day off of a php is going to sentence you to the pits of hell, then what's it going to hurt to have a 3 week too old kid in the room? If you're going to burn, it would be a shame to do it just for one lousy day on a park hopper!

You guys are starting to crack me up! lol :p and I certainly need it today (for other reasons).

DisneyJunkie... The reason I posted was to get OTHER ideas... if POR wouldn't have been sold out, this post would never have been written. I've been around here long enough to know that the Moralists would attack... hence my asking for IDEAS vs. "is it right?". I didn't expect everyone to post pixie dust and hugs, I was hoping for honest to goodness IDEAS which I received! Quite a few people answered in a honest, NICE way even if they didn't agree with staying in one room.

I hope July 3 opens up for you. Enjoy your trip. My son and I will be there during the same time, maybe we'll run into each other.

Wow, that was fun! [/B]

I might add that it was also fun to read! You really gave me a good laugh!

Please forgive me... I thought the baby was turning three during the trip! Oh ,well. I kept pushing the AS because I think it will be more comfortable.

Have a great trip whatever YOU decide!!!!!

I say go for it, it is only for 3 days.
We have stayed 4 adults and 4 kids in a motorhome at Fort Wilderness, and before anyone jumps on me, Disney knew about it, we all had a card and we had to apy $5 extra for the 2 extra adults. Now let me tell you that was tight ;)
So just 3 adults and 3 little kids in a room that is bigger than a motorhome sounds like pure luxury to me.

Have fun, and enjoy your vacation.....

Well everyone, it was very nice hosting this party! HOWEVER, my SIL just emailed me and said she is deciding NOT to go! Even though her husband is all for the trip, she doesn't think she can spend the money when they owe the IRS. Now, don't get me wrong... I understand... but a 4 day trip to DISNEY for under $200 total?????

So, I just called Southwest and cancelled her flight (which gives me back the $245 credit) and luckily didn't put any money down on that extra room! lol...

I guess I don't have to lie about ANYTHING this trip!! :Pinkbounc Oh well, I TRIED to be nice.

In laws suck. :(

What an ingrate! I am willing to risk eternal damnation and squeeze into that POR room if your daughter wants a surrogate auntie for the weekend.

Who doesn't owe the IRS piles of money?!

I love these board, but I am amazed at the moral police that come out of the woodwork when someone has a touchy question.
zakatak, stay where you want and tell WDW what you want. Some things are not a big deal - contrary to what you may hear. There are 2 major arguments from the moral police and they go something like this:
1. The fire dept will not know how many people are in the room in the case of a fire.
Give me a break - the hotel catches fire, do you think the firemen are going to stop by the front desk for a detail by room of how many people are there? hell no, they are going to dump water on the hotel and go room by room looking for anything that moves.
2. The argument that right is right,no matter what.
OK here we go. Anyone who thinks this has to also say that they never go even 1 mph over the speed limit - ever. Right and wrong is not a clearly marked line, regardless of what do-gooders like to say. People who say they never lie, are liars. Peope who say they always do the right thing are really saying they always do what they think is the right thing.
I always read posts like these, I always wait until they become someoone's moral outlet, then I post a response like this one. So, those of you who are better than me, go ahead and and quote me a few times and pick apart my statements. But, when it comes down to it, I'll just laugh at you because after all, we are talking about a freaking baby who was born 3 freaking weeks too early. Zakatak, save your money (or spend it on something else at WDW), and don't fear hell - hell is not full of people who tell WDW that their child is 2 when she's 3. It's full of people who judge others based on their determination of morality while ignoring their own integrity.
Wow, that was fun!

For all the trouble that Zakatak went to trying to get opinions on her situation, her SIL bailed, which is pretty rotten but then inlaws are another topic for discussion.

I am curious though Prince John, are you not judging others?

We were given the same answer regarding our daughter when she turned three.

Someone just had (a few days ago) a question about buying a ticket for a child who was turning three during their trip. She emailed Disney and got an official answer telling her that she did NOT need to purchase a ticket for her child who would be turning three after they checked in.

I would still switch to two rooms at the AS. You will have so much more room and it's nice to put the kids to bed and have a space for the adults to hang out.

This is a really tough call. Initially, my response is not to put the 5 in one room. However, it seems that you are seriously trying to obtain a second room and that throws a kink into my gut reaction. If it were me, I would diligently try to get that second room and, should there be no openings, not fret too much about it should nothing open up.

Me again... op herself! ;)

This was going along great until a few sour posts, but that is ok. We all have our moral stances.

I am planning on calling CRO every day (lol) - free long distance... to see if July 3rd opens up. Right now they have July 4th, July 5th open, but not the first day. So, the CM said to call back and hope for a cancellation (WOULD SOMEBODY TAKE THE UPGRADE, PLEASE?)...

One reason why I won't move from POR is that we are already moving to BC on July 10th which would be 3 moves (3 AS, 4 POR, 3 BC)... WAY too much moving around! I WOULD consider it for CBR, but they also have nothing available. It would drive my DH crazy to switch so many times, but...

Again, thanks for all the support and ideas... I am much more worried about the space now than the moral hell of an extra adult. AND, she would have a room key since I would be paying for the extra adult (SHA-LYN). And, I have no problem giving her a one day hopper (rotflmao)... I bet you don't hand out extra fastpasses either since they are non-transferrable?

So, I will call CRO every day and check for POR first, then CBR (two rooms)... If nothing opens up, then I get to go to hell for the sole reason that my dd was born 3 weeks early! lol... Go figure $25 extra a night for an adult... POR with AP rate = $82 inc tax... not too much difference.

Thanks again,

Karen

You mean to tell me that you risked your very soul for nothing??? Well, after so many of us have supported you in your dishonest ways, the least you could do is promise to take an old refillable mug and re-use it.

I'd ask you to pool hop just one time...but that would be too much!!

Don't expect the party to end....This train has already left the station and there's only one thing that can stop it now...;) :bounce:

Enough!

This has run it's course - there is no new valuable information being discussed!
