Very tall 9 year old

I will be taking a friends daughter this year to Disney. She is almost 10 and is very tall and muture looking for her age. Also taking my 9 y/o and 11 y/o. This girl looks older than my 11 y/o. Should I take her school ID with us to get into the parks or will they not question it?

I know what you mean because my dd and my 2 sons are tall and look older than they really are - especially dd! There were times I worried about CM's thinking I was lying about their ages but I knew I had truth on my side (as well as a copy of their birth certificates in my luggage just to ease my nerves) but nobody ever said a word. Except the gentlemen that got into the hot tub with my 14 year old (actually was 2 weeks shy of her 14th birthday) at the Swan and struck up conversation with my dd asking where she was from and she was they guessed 21 right? NOT! My ds who is only 11 knew to say, "Come on sis, dad said we could only stay in here for a few minutes" and they got out.

My DS was very tall for his age when he was young. I had a few problems with the buffet restaurants. They never charged him as an adult, just made me feel like I was trying to pull one over on them. I never had any problems with his admission ticket. He's 20 now so I don't know if things have changed since.

I was always very tall for my age (I've been 6'0" tall since I was 15!!)

Some of the castmembers started questioning my parents about my age when I was 2! They were always nice, though, and never questioned my mom when she told them I was just tall for my age.

I've heard very few stories of people actually being given a hard time over the age of their children. It may make you feel better to have something indicating her age. Then that will alleviate all issues if any were to arise.

I have the opposite problem, my DS looks a LOT younger then he is. He looks like he is 9, but will be almost 13 when we go. Poor kid.

My dd is also very tall. Never a problem at the parks or resort. The only problem we ever had at restaurants was they would assume she was older but when I told them she was only 9 they would change it to kids price no questions asked.

My ds just turned 10. We went last June when he was 9 and over 5' tall and, of course, we used a child's ticket. No one ever questioned us. He's also a big eater and we really got our money's worth on the buffets! Dh said we'll have to look back fondly on these savings in future years when he's eating us out of house and home!

We come from the land of the giants lol. DS-15 just hit the 6"4" mark and DS-just turned 12 grew 3 1/2" since December. We have never been questioned even at buffets. I think they see DH who is 6'4" myself 5'8"-not too tall but tall enough, and think that the kids are all just tall. DD now 7 is a full 8" taller than DD, 14, was at the age of 7! Hope this helps.

My childern are tall as well and I wonder if that will happen. My oldest is only 8 right now, we did have a few looks when they were younger and got in for free and our local resturant always had a problem becuase kids under 5 ate free at the breakfast bar. I still find it amazing when people look at me (a 6 foot tall female) and say I can't beleive how tall your kids are? I feel like saying have you ever heard of genes?
