Very Stupid Basic Question about Banking...please remind me....

Okay, I forgot how this works because I don't find myself in this situation that often, but here it is.

I had about 80 points left in my 2008 use year (which starts in August) and I banked them.

Can I make a reservation using those banked points for a stay before August of 2009, or do I have to wait until after 8/09 to use them?

If I have to wait, does that mean I can't make a ressie at all before 8/09?

If you have already banked you August,08 points, they can only be used for reservations from August 1, 2009 thru July 31, 2010. If you want to make a reservation for dates earlier than August 1 you can borrow points from your 2009 Use Year.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions and once banked/borrowed the points cannot be moved back into their original Use Year.

I am new to this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong. But if you banked your 2008 points into your 2009 UY, then your trip using those points must be between 8/1/09 and 7/31/10. If you take a trip before 8/1/09, you must borrow original 2009 points.
