Very silly question

Whoops. In my pointed little head, I've been thinking Disss like DIScussion!

So are the inhabitants here DISsers, DIZzers, or DIZsers? :p

Shoot, down here in 'Bama we can't undestand what y'all are saying anyway. :jester:

BTW, welcome to the DIS! :bounce: We're all one big, um...
let's see...
group of people who enjoy posting and reading posts! Yeah, that's us...

Come on in, the water's fine!

I pronouce it DIZ :) I'm so glad you decided to join us, welcome to the DIS!

I'm with the Alabama and West Virginia guys, I say "DIS"!:)
Pam

Welcome! I have always pronounced it with an S sound on the end. If I recall it used to stand for "Disney Information Station", hence why I pronounced it with an S sound. Most people I meet pronounce it with a Z though.

I prounce it as diz. And may I give a nice big welcome to the boards. So glad to have you here with us!!!

Well, I would say that only Pete can give the DEFINATIVE answer. ;) But I have always called it "The Dizzz."
ead79 is right - it was originally called the Disney Information Station - but I still have never called it "the Disss."
And WELCOME to the DIS!

Welcome and living near to the other Worcester (the one in the UK) I know how annoying it can be for people to mispronounce it.
Try pronouncing Leominster (a place near Worcester), it's pronounced Lemster not leominster as in leo the lion! BTW Worcester sauce in the UK is pronounced the same as the city in the UK

Welcome Hula girl from Woosta!
I pronounce it DIZ like QuinZy, where I'm from originally!:)

Another of the few, the proud, the dissssssssssssers.

Welcome!

Welcome!!

I actually pronounce each letter "D-I-S". But when I talk about "DisCon", I say "Dizz"

I pronounce it DIZ as well.

Welcome

MandaMom

Well, I think you get the idea, hulagirl. :teeth: I say DIZ also. And welcome.
