I recieved my tickets for the MVMCP today and the letter mentions the Very Merry Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, I do not recall ever reading anything about it before.....anyone gone there for dinner the night of the Party and is it good ?
TIA :santa:

Well, when we did it (a group from another board) in December, 2004, it wasn't the Very Merry Dinner--it was just the character dinner with decent food served family style. We had one of the earliest ressies--around 4:30 p.m. and a very large group! Food was good at that time--turkey, flank steak, some type of pork (smoked, I think) and the sides were okay. Well prepared, just not among my favourites!

Do they give any hint of what the meal is or if there are any characters for the MVMCP dinner?

Nothing at all just suggest it as an dinner option in the letter so I was curious

When I ordered tickets, the only option it gave was for Will Call...so HOW did you get yours mailed to you? :confused3

I ordered them via phone when online would only let me do the will call.....it cost $5 for USPS

I had the same problem you did and contacted my TA and she ordered my tickets and they are being mailed to me. Should get them this next week. I e-mail Disney and complained about this to them. Got a half backward reply which amounted to nothing.

We did this dinner a few year ago - back when they closed the park between the day guests and the party. It was cute and worth it to stay in the park, but IMO, it's not worth it now and here's my reasoning:

Now they let you in with your MVMCP ticket at 4 pm, The time between 4 and 7 is great for rides and then you can concentrate on the special shows, parades and fireworks after the crowds arrive.

We just do counter service for dinner that day so we can fully enjoy the experience and get the most our of the expensive party ticket. JMHO. YMMV.

We were going to have dinner at the Resort before heading over to MK so most likely would not get to MK till between 6 and 7 pm anyway, thought this might be a good alternative and just head over to MK earlier since we can get in for 4 with the MVMCP tix, have never eaten at Liberty Tree Inn and it is listed $29.99 pp for Adults, wondered if it is worth the price. Still on the fence will have to decide by Wed my ADR day

I just read on another site that they have dinner add ons for the MVMCP this year at both LTT and TOnys of course it does not give details. I might have to call and ask about that option that might push me to attend the party.

We always do a resort breakfast( only use party tickets this day) hangout by the pool for late lunch or snacks and a counter service @ the parties. We love going to Cosmice Rays grab a bite to eat and the kids have a blast dancing w/ Goofy and Chipmunks. They play great music, I Love it too!:dance3:

If they're bringing the characters back to LTT, it's a fun way to start the party. W/o characters, I wouldn't even consider it. We don't like the food at all. I've seen people say it was better than their Thanksgiving meal at home. If that's the case, they need someone else to do the Thanksgiving cooking at home. ;)

Maybe it did help to complain. Just looked and they offer a mailing option for $5

It is sooooooooooo:banana::banana::banana: worth it. it's good Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner even without the characters. And it is a great way to set up for MVMCP. Your best bet is to eat close to 4:30 as possible. it will give you more time to play before the party.

I think we have decided to try it :santa:
