Very low sodium diet

Not that this is a disability, but I figured folks here may have some suggestions.

We will be going to Hollywood Studios for a day and I was not able to get any dining reservation, so we will have to eat quick serve.

I am on a very low sodium diet <2000mg/day. Any suggestions?

Keep trying to make ADRs so that you will have the option of having items prepared with less salt at sit-down restaurants. Tables become available as others change plans.

Packing your own food for at least one meal or parts of meals is another option and may be even better as you would know exactly what your sodium intake was. Those of us with special dietary needs cannot afford to be spontaneous. We have to plan ahead.

Have a great trip!

As previously mentioned people are backing out of their table service reservations all the time last minute. People get sick or people cancel their trips or whatever. Just check religiously and you may snag a reservation. Be open minded on any place that has an opening.

Salads are an excellent option and a buffet place would give you options, too.

Hollywood studios has a lot of bars that are part of restaurants that do not require an ADR. I've walked in, sat at the bar without getting any drinks and ordered from the full menu with adjustments for allergy needs. I don't know if sitting at the bar fits the people your traveling with but if it's an all adult trip, it might not be out of the question..

Also my best spontaneous trip advice for an adr, is start checking the restaurants you want at 11pm the night before. People who are hording reservations have to cancel them by midnight or they risk getting a no-show $10 per person fee when they don't use them. You may not get the exact restaurant or time you want, but you'll find something for at least one of your meals that will help with your dietary choices. Also along the same line, don't assume you can't walk up and get right in, early meals (11am for lunch, 4pm for dinner or really late (right at the time they close) I found walking up to be most successful.

I never tried it, but let the quick service place know you need a low sodium choice and let them help you. even quick service have a "chef" if you request to talk to them that will come out and speak to you about their food options.

Definitely check for TS restaurants starting about 10 pm. 11 pm might be about the sweet spot for cancellations vs. openings.

QS at HS - you really aren't going to have options but maybe fruit, some salads, some drinks. It's alot of burgers/fries/pizza/hot dogs. QS in that park just feels limited to me. It's going to be hard to be "low sodium" at Disney at all - even TS. Even what might seem like simple green beans are probably salted to death when they are cooked. I don't need a low sodium diet but since I have a pretty low sodium diet at home normally, the salt intake at Disney just keeps me drinking water all day! I'd plan to have breakfast in your resort room and bring along some simple snacks each day with you to take to the parks. Hopefully you'll only have one meal per day you can't control too much. A lot of the food at Disney is prepared in batches - and there may not be much a chef can do to help you.

I've done WDW on a low sodium diet for the past 3 years..It's much easier at TS restaurants because the chef will come out and help you with menu selections and prepare a wonderful meal for you. CS meals I choose the kid's Mickey Check options and added a fruit cup or yogurt parfait. The Mickey Check meals have less than 800 mg of sodium and are surprisingly filling..Enjoy

You may be able to snack all day with fresh fruit and veggies. Over by RnRcoaster is a section of outdoor food places. One has some healthier snacks including clementines and other items. Also, like PP mentioned, order a salad with no dressing.
