My husband got off work for the weekend before Thanksgiving, and we were able to piece together a tent camping trip from Saturday through Wednesday! I am home sick today so all I did was refresh, and finally got a few different reservations, all for tent sites. Am on hold with Disney currently to see if I can piece them together.

So, what is it like in November? Any special things to do or watch out for?? I AM SO EXCITED!

We will probably go to the water parks if it's warm enough and just enjoy the Fort.

Good for you chickp! You are proof folks can piece together a trip.

We did a Thanksgiving week trip a couple years ago. Crowds swell through the week so if you are leaving Wednesday, Monday or Tuesday might be better park days but just check a crowd calendar. The Fort will fill up during the week too.

Weather was nice as I recall warm in the sun but cool in the shade. Evenings were cool. So far as a water park goes, if it's a sunny warm day you could go during the warmer mid-day part. I think it would be cold at opening or closing after dark.

As I recall there were a few Christmas decorations around the Fort (lobby, Pioneer Hall, Trading Post signs) but it still felt minimal. The tree off the front corner of the Trails End porch went up overnight Thanksgiving night/Friday morning that year.

Have fun!

PS - the historical high/low temps for that week are 76/58F in Orlando

If the weather holds, there have been record high temperatures for the past week in South Florida up through Orlando (87 degrees today!!!!)

I have two days left on my tickets. I am considering getting a one night room and heading back down later this week. The only water park open now is Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach is closed for refurb.

Oh good to know about the water parks. We liked both equally last time we were there, but I think we'll wait and see what the weather is going to do. It looks like it's going to cool off a little, down to the low 60s at night. Sounds exactly perfect to me, but a little chilly for swimming.
