Friday evening I made a reservation for Pop Century Oct 29 thru Nov 4th. When I made the reservation I asked the gentleman if I needed to pay for MNSSHP that night or if I could wait. He proceeded to tell me that I didn't have to make them right then, but not to wait until we arrived.

So, I call today, a mere 4 days later to purchase tickets either for the 30th or the 31st and the lady tells me they're sold out and have been sold out for quite sometime for those dates. She informed me that they will have tickets available for walk up but DVC has sold out of the allotment given to them.
Ok, I sit here for a minute, call back to find out if maybe I could get them through the resort or what time to get them if we walk up, or if I could get them walk up the day we get there on the 29th for any of those dates.
THis lady tells me that you CAN NOT get them on a walk up basis at all, not to mention she was VERY RUDE.
Now, I am not a complainer and have never had complaints concerning Disney. We went in December of 05 and May 05 and are returning just 10 months later. We spend alot of money with Disney and most of our vacations are with Disney. I don't expect special treatment but I do expect Disney service we are accustomed to, the bar that they have set. I expect to have customer representatives that are not only courteous but CONSISTANT. I have never had this problem until now. Are they so busy that they just hire whoever they can get and they don't take the time to train these people to know what's going on and currant.
Don't get me wrong, the gentleman I got on the phone Friday night was so nice and had that Disney ora about him, but he did fail to tell me MNSSHP was sold out for our travel dates, was that to avoid losing a sale?
Does anyone have any suggestions for tickets or do I need to cancel the trip? It's not like we haven't been recently, we were wanting our little girl to trick or treat at Disney.
Sorry for being so down and negative!
BTW, if anyone has any tickets for sale, please email me.

I just checked online and tickets were available for 10/31 still :confused3 . I didn't purchase but I selected 4 tickets for that day and it took me to the payment screen and said they were "reserved" for 30 minutes.

So call again or order online.

I think the one true thing you can count on with Disney is:

"If you ask 20 CMs a question, be prepared to get 20 different answers!"

I think the tag fairy should visit me for that one :cool1:

I buy all my tickets online rather than through a CM direct for this exact reason. I went online and did that date as well for 4 tickets and was able to purchase. Good luck.

MNSSHP is not sold out on 10/30 and 10/31. There are no discounted tickets for either of those nights though. (AP or DVC). They never offered discounted tickets for those two nights. So, there are tickets still available but they would be full price. They can be purchased on the WDW website.

That said, you were given misinformation and that is frustrating! Information from CMs can sometimes be very inconsistent. I hope you have a good trip though!

You aren't the first person who has posted that a CM told them that dates were sold out, only to find out that they could still be purchased online. I think it is a real shame that CM's are giving out bad information.

I would go to the Disney website to order the tickets online, and then email customer relations, conveying exactly what you posted here. There is NO REASON for a rude CM, that should be reported, in addition to the fact that CM's are telling you that the party is sold out when clearly you can still buy tickets online for the same night.

I'd be really frustrated. Email them (and hopefully you'll get a satisfactory response) to hopefully put this behind you before your trip.

Have fun! (And enjoy MNSSHP - get those tickets online directly from Disney, and enjoy it!!! Our first MNSSHP is 9/15 - I'm getting so excited that I just can't stand it. LOL)

Last year, MNSSHP only sold out on Oct 31st, and even then, tickets were available up to a few weeks prior to the 31st. It's sad that CMs couldn't get you better info than that...

well, in defense of the first CM. she didnt ask him if it was sold out, but only asked if she HAD to buy them in August. So it was only one CM that couldnt get her the correct info if there are indeed tickets still available.

Sounds confusing, but if the OP wanted the discounted tickets via DVC or AP, those tickets are only for certain party nights, with the last night available being 10/24. They are not available for the 27th, 30th or 31st. I use the website buying party tickets and can print my will-call receipt. I'm DVC and AP and got my tickets for the 24th at the discounted price. Last year I arrived after the last discounted night and had to pay full price! yikes. First time ever, since we use to get the CM discounted tickets prior years. In addition to the 31st selling out, also the friday before Colombus Day weekend also sold out last year too.

In response to the poster "addicted to Disney"
I never posted my entire conversation with the first CSA. While making the reservation, I told the CSA that the sole purpose of this trip was to have the "Halloween" experience at Disney, thus......going to MNSSHP. I asked him specific questions about the crowds, when to get the tickets, etc. and my point was that he should have said at some point during the conversation, "now you may want to consider some earlier dates for the trip if your entire reason for coming at that time is the MNSSHP, because the 27th, 30th, and the 31st are all sold out and have been for a month or so.

The agent today stated that those 3 dates had been sold out for quite some time and I asked her as in hours, days and she said, "oh, a month and a half or so".
I don't mean to sound GRUMPY, I just want the correct information. What if we were all in the MK and we got 20 different maps or 20 different answers from Cast Members. These people on the reservation line, should be trained as well as the CM's inside the gates. This is the first interaction some guest have with DISNEY!

I just got my MNSSHP tickets for Halloween night last Thursday. I say go online, find the ticket you want and go for it! It stinks that you got bad info, but hey, you get to go to WDW! :wizard:

I don't really understand why the OP is so upset. I understand getting wrong information is not great, but why didn't you just go online? I would not have called directly to get that done for that reason. Especially lately that everyone calling on here was getting wrong information when they called Disney directly.

I work in Customer Service and I know that it is important to be as courteous as possible but sometimes even when you give the correct information people still get upset because it isn't what they want to hear.

I just hope you are able to book your tickets online and get to enjoy your Disney Trip!! :dance3:

Two things:

1. Tickets are still available for both dates. Call back and talk to someone else, or go online!!!!! You WILL get tickets!!!!

2. We will be at POP that same week! Howdy, neighbor!

well.. it sounds as if the first CM didnt tell you your dates were sold out, because apparently they arent.. Thats why he told you you didnt need to buy them NOW, but also not to wait until THEN. Sounds like your wrong info came from the second CM. A bunch of disers already for tickets for you.. and they seem to still be available. Grab em before they are gone.

As far as the online service goes, they are still available for all nights. Good luck & act quickly so you don't miss out! :goodvibes

When you're at WDW, you'll still get 20 different answers from 20 different CM's. Check out the Magical Beginnings threads to see what I mean!

Madeline'smum - Did you get your tickets? I hope so...let us know. :goodvibes

Yes, I did get the tickets, finally. I had started a new thread to let everyone know.......the CM'c were mistakingly telling everyone that the 27th, 30th, and 31st were sold out because next to those dates it read "unavailable" when what it was, those dates were unavailable for AP price. We all knew there was not a discount on those dates, however, it was looking as if they were not available at all.
I was not able to get them online because of browser problems, since the website is packed full of graphics and videos you have to have specific browsers. I called 407-4-disney and got a sweet as can be CM that actually looked into the situation concerning the tickets instead of brushing me off.
I am so excited!
Thanks for asking.
Moral of this story, these boards were right, and don't give up when you think you've been given incorrect info.
