I am very disappointed in some players here who took advantage of the new pirate game. You sat there, all of you and played constantly without any thought to who else would just be happy with a poster or a chest. It was not good enough for some of you to play once or twice, you had to play for hours just to win a costume for another of your cheap trade tricks for inferno. It is because of you that there is a connection error. Selfishness, wth your angry faces and evil minds just because you cant get your costume.

OK, slow down here. For one, why are we to blame for a connection error? Also, why is it that you think that all of us are going to turn around and trade for inferno or something like that? Do you just think that everyone is that shallow? Maybe people (myself included) were really looking forward to the costume, and now these people (including myself) are getting flamed for trying to get a costume. It doesn't tell you what you get. It just gives you a code. So, these people (myself, again, included) have to enter every code that we get so that we have even the slightest chance of getting this. So, please don't immediatly start blaming people trying to get a costume for a connection error.

No one had any way of knowing it would crash the game, and it's not any one person's fault that it quit working. In fact, according to many people, it's down so they can work on it, not because people were getting so many codes.

And there's really no other way to get the costume other than playing repeatedly. That's just how it's done, and I plan to quit as soon as I get it. Also, it's not like it's going to be down forever. The original pirate game has been giving stuff out since before I joined VMK, and I can only assume this one will continue giving stuff out for quite some time as well. Of course there's going to be a rush on codes the first day. Just like there's a rush on anything the first day anything comes out.
VMK was unplayable the weekend the tomorrowland quests came out. That's just how it goes. You just need to chill out about it.
As far as asking someone goes, if you can't get it from the game due to a large number of people playing it, I'm sure someone would be happy to help you out. As long as you aren't tearing them down for doing what everyone else is doing, and calling their faces evil and such. I meant no malice in what I was doing, and no one else did either, and so I see no evil it in at all.

This is not a trade thread, this is someone sharing their displeasure with all of those that played this silly game over and over and then a little more because we thought the costume was one code away. I don't actually have a costume in my hand, I just have a few hundred codes I need to enter. So maybe I do have one and just don't know it.

I will trade codes though as they are a "rare" item now.

That last line was an attempt at humour.

Sorry for your disappointment. I myself have not been able to play it very much or to get many codes out of it yet. And I stress Yet.
This is a problem that I'm sure will be fixed. And it's not like the game will close up tonight. There will be many more opportunities to play and get actual codes.
And the programmers expected everyone to play it many times and get many codes.
Now please lighten up.

I don't think people are taking advantage of the game. With thousands of players, you cannot just blame it on the DIS'ers! Can you stop a thousand people? I think not. Nobody is doing anything wrong. If some players are looking for codes for these items or just items, there are always plenty of DIS'ers that will gift. Many DIS'ers will gift items/codes even without someone asking.

That's extremely uncalled for. I could care less about inferno. In fact, I have no use for any magic at all except for when needed in quests. I just want the costume because it looks cool.

I said this in the other thread, but I really think that you are over reacting. I for one am not trying to trade the items and I think that it is ridiculous for others to as well. I am either selling my extra items or giving them away (I started a gift thread). The only way to get a costume is to play the game over and over, just like Narnia. I am not really sure what you want us to do about that. We are playing the game how it was intended to be. I am sorry that you are not able to get codes now, but the game will be back up as soon as they can.

PrinceRaphael, if you're that upset, please write to Disney and complain about the game. This seems to be much like the Narnia teleporters, with the exception being we have no clue what the codes are until we enter them. Disney's people know what they're doing; they are the ones designing it this way. You cannot fault players for wanting the costume that has been so hyped, only to turn out to be next to impossible to get. I don't agree with people turning around and trying to trade the outfit for insane amounts. BUT, this is a mess of Disney's making. They want to "keep it rare" and thus all truly fair trades be darned, much like with the teleporters and how much they initially traded for. They know what happened with those, and clearly they either don't care or think it's okay.

You can visit the trade board to see that myself and others already volunteered to get the items for people who cannot play the game. We're trying to gift people, not trade them. There may be some greedy players out there, but 99% of us are not. I myself spent over 2 hours getting just 1 code. Am I upset with players in general? No. Am I upset with people trying to rip others off? Yes. Am I upset with Disney for making yet another highly desirable item a pain to get? That'd be the biggest yes of all.
