Hey All,
There is not one thing available June 12-16 and June 19-23........ As a new DVC member who has just had their disney vacation plans crushed is it worth it to waitlist and what are the chances of something coming through..... help
I even asked about paying the $95 and staying at the moderate resorts... those are gone too.....

Most definitely wait list, chances are something may come through especially if your willing to stay at any resort.
We called last week to add 3 nights onto our may stay and it's memorial weekend we didn't have any trouble adding the extra nights at VWL.

Did you try doing a split stay? Like 2 days at one resort and 3 at another?

Timeshares are not for poor or late planning. I realizes this is your first time, just plan ahead for the future (at least 7 months or more) and you should do fine for most options. Do WL but also call your guide if you bought retail as they can often make things happen in this situation.

I feel your pain! We're new to DVC too and tried to use our DVP points for June (we have friends travelling then-so it would have been fun for the kids) and there was no availability for our dates. We have to use them by October-so it's either June or July due to school schedules. I asked to waitlist and they said that we can't because we were using DVP points... I checked the regular website and it's available for regular bookings-just not DVC. The RCI dates we needed weren't available either-oh well, at least these are incentives and not paid vacations...

I would waitlist, and keep checking back about other resorts, take what you can get, I bet you could piece something together, especially if you are flexible. It will take a little work, but I bet you could figure it out.

We had a three-day waitlist for June (1br standard view AKV Kidani) come through this week after a three week wait.

Try to find a chunk of days together during the summer, then waitlist a few days ahead or a few days after that grouping. That's what we did for June

It was a studio and the nights we're thur, fri and sat of memorial weekend, when I called they were available I didn't even realise it was memorial weekend we already had a reservation from the Sunday. They also had AKL and BWV available too.

Sorry your first reservation attempt didn't go so well. The suggestions given above are good ones. You should certainly:

1. Waitlist NOW. Call today and get on the list. Be flexible. Waitlist for a studio or 1 bedroom at several or all of the resorts. We always waitlist when our reservation is not immediately available and more often than not it comes through.

2. Call your guide. Sometimes he/she can make things happen.

3. Call MS a couple of times per week. I know the waitlist is suppose to come through immediately. But you would be surprised how many times we've found a room by persistent calling.

YES CALL every day even..somtimes more than once a day. I got days on our waitlist for our trip this past Nov. I was on a waitlist for like 4 days. I called one day and got a day, another day a couple of days and finally the last.

I have a question about waitlisting for any or all resorts. Isn't it true that with the new policy you can only have two waitlists? Can you have a blanket waitlist for anything? Or do I have it wrong? Thanks!
