very complicated Magicbands split stay question

We have a ressie for early June thru David's DVC rentals. Linked Magic Bands for all five of us.
Then we bought DVC.
We have a four-day trek to the west coast of florida after David's part of trip.
We used our new DVC points to add two nights to the end of this trip in mid june.
I already linked the new DVC ressie to our account.
Question: are my Magic Bands for the first leg of the trip good to go for the second leg? We have FP+ that I set up weeks ago for the mid-june days because i knew then we wanted to add the two nights, but i only got the points in my account this week.

Your magic bands are linked to your MDE account. That means they are linked to you, not your resort reservation. Assuming you ave valid admission, you can use your magic bands forever (or at least until the battery dies.)

Yes, both sets should work for both resort stays. You don't even need to get the second set if you don't want them. I always pack 2 sets in case someone loses one.

Both sets should work for the entire stay since they are all linked through your MDE.


So my advice -- get different colors so you can coordinate with your outfit! (Yep, I do this!).

And your situation isn't complicated at all. All MBs should work for all reservations a given person is on, as long as the MDE account is the same.

We've had a split stay with four resorts. 4 sets of bands, all worked for all. And still work. I have 9 MBs at this point I believe. And all work.

thanks everyone - one last concern - when dvc booked my second ressie, they used formal names on some and three of the five names don't "match." So i went in and changed the names manually within MDE. that isn't going to mess anything up, is it??
