Not sure if any one else has noticed this, but there's a very annoying bug in the Yahoo main search page. It's only noticeable if you like to type things into the search field immediately after the page comes up.

When you go to Yahoo, as soon as the page starts to come up, start typing a word or sentence. What happens is the first few letters of your sentence will get deleted. If you don't want this to happen, you have to let the page load up completely and then start typing. Sure we're only talking about two seconds of time, but if you're like me and like to work really fast and are a habitual Yahoo user, then this is very aggravating. I am also utterly shocked Yahoo hasn't fixed this yet (it's been a few weeks now), as I see it to be a pretty noticeable bug and a hindrance to work flow.

I haven't noticed it with Yahoo since I usually search with Google, but I know the frustration you feel, because for the longest time Paypal had that problem with entering your password. :headache:

It's very annoying I know. I think it's the ads on the page loading up - as I'm typing and my letters are disappearing, I notice that the bottom usually says waiting for: ad.yieldmanager - or something like that. That's when I search from the address bar - which I have set to Google. Yahoo is my homepage, but not my search engine.

People use search engines other then Google?

I normally use both.

I just went to yahoo to see what you guys were talking about, but the glitch you explained occurred so quickly after the page loaded that it would never be an issue for me. It only occurred for a fraction of a second, not long enough for me to have started typing.

I guess I am just so used to clicking on my Yahoo link on my Safari bookmark bar and then typing, that the fraction of a second is long enough to screw things up.

Do you use Firefox and have you updated it? I was having some lagging issues until I updated. I use Google to search, but just tried yahoo and it is not doing it for me.

I do have issues with yahoo as my home page and Google as my toolbar search. I type a search in my Google toolbar and it starts there, then moves down to the yahoo search bar and continues there.:sad2: VERY annoying.
