Which room would you prefer? Is there much of a difference other than location? I assume the Studio is out amongst the villas, and that the Deluxe Ocean View Room is in the main building.

This is for 2 adults. I would prefer the One-Bedroom, but I don't think I'm going to have enough points for that.

Thanks for your input! Kim:hippie:

Although I haven't stayed in a studio at VB, we did stay in an ocean view room in October and the sunrise is worth the price of the room. A slightly larger room could not make up the difference if I had to look at a parking lot or into another building. And being able to sit on the balcony and watch the waves...heaven! It's why I go to the beach.

OVIR would be our first choice. We have stayed in a studio, and we would even take a Garden View Inn Room over the studio if we could. DH wanted to try a studio, for the sofa to sit and watch TV on, but it wasn't worth the trade, we'd rather have the view.

We love the in rooms and only stay in them. You are in the main building and just a elevator ride away from the gift shop. It's nice for getting movies and a quick snack for the evening hours.

Be sure and request a full ocean view room. Of course requests aren't guaranteed, but it never hurts to ask. :thumbsup2

Ocean View definitely!!! Also agree with Dallastxcpa, when making your reservation request direct ocean view. Sun rise is breaktaking. Have only ever stayed in the Inn, it's just DH and I.
Can't wait for May!!:yay:

Your post just made me so sad. DH & I have been to Vero in May for the past three years--always in an ocean view room. We just had to cancel our May 2009 trip. DH just found out that the plant where he works will be closing down in 2009. We also had to cancel our Sept. 09 cruise aboard the Magic. We sure could use some pixie dust right about now. Why do companies tell you the week before Christmas that you are being laid off?:confused3

:grouphug: Things are very sad here, in Dayton Ohio. The Moraine GM plant closed this weekend. Best wishes.

DH works for a tire manufacturing plant. We are not sure how long he will continue to work. I think many families are experiencing the same thing throughout the country. But we can dream of better days and trips to Vero!

That's the spirit! We left NJ because GM was leaving the Ewing/Trenton plant, we never ever thought that Dayton would become a "Former" car producing area.

Thank you for the  Have a wonderful time at Vero when you go in May. Hopefully, times will get better and we will be able to join in the fun again soon. DH & I have been very blessed for many years. This economy is hitting so many hard right now. Pixie dust to everyone!pixiedust:

I'm so glad we booked the ocean view inn room vs studio. What do the posters mean who said to book a "direct" ocean view room?? Is that like ocean front and if so, do you just ask for it?

I just booked mine at Vero for July.... DH wanted Ocean View, so we did the Inn, from what I just read... I guess we made a good choice:thumbsup2

If you don't ask for direct view or "ocean facing" you can get a room on the side of the building where you can see the ocean if you lean from your balcony or you get a view of the pool with the ocean in the distance. Not bad rooms but not what you are hoping for when you think Ocean view.
