Hello! We've spent two Christmas vacations at Hilton Head, and we LUV it there. It's just hubby and I, and we do enjoy taking our bicycles and just hanging out.

We've never been to Vero. How is it during the winter months? We will most likely drive either way.

Spent the week of New Year's there this year. Resort was full, but it did not seem crowded at all. Weather was perfect up until Jan 2nd (I think), then they had their first freeze in 3 years, and even a few snow flakes! We were in a Beach Cottage and were informed they have no heating upstairs - the living area. We were freezing up there - it would not get over 50 -55 degrees, so maintenance went and bought space heaters for the upstairs. Otherwise, we had to stay downstairs in our bedrooms.

Activities were plentiful like they always are, but the campfire was cancelled because of the strong, icy wind. For New Years Eve, there was a DJ by the pool with lots of dance contests, etc. Very family oriented, with hats, horns, etc. The Christmas decorations were still up - very pretty!

I hope to go again some year - without the freezing weather!
