We just made our third trip to VB and it was again wonderful! Yes, there is some difference in the landscape after last year's hurricanes, but not to the resorts detriment. It was beautiful. Our room was spotless and well kept and the staff was as wondeful as ever!!!
We were there when Katrina made land the first time passing well south of VB. However, the resort was calm, well organized and ready for anything. There were warnings from VB to Palm Beach so they merely moved our patio furniture inside our rooms. As for programming, we all got a message from the desk informing us that there would be special indoor programming and that the pool and food services would continue on regular hours unless weather dictated otherwise. As it was, it was windy with rain squalls, but while the slide closed, the pool never did.
I am very relieved that VB was spared this time, but of course, others were much more devastated unfortunately.
