Wow, can't believe we're finally of to VB in two days. Flight leaves in just under 49 hours.

Just booked ps for Sonya's for Friday night and Shutters for Sunday night. We'll probably explore for Saturday night. We already booked the Sunday brunch (Easter Sunday). I also booked massages for myself and DW. Went for the full hour rather than the 1/2 hour; born to suffer.

Any last minute advice from the veterans? CM said it will be a busy weekend (as we expected). Anyone have a tip for how to guarantee a lounge at the pool when half the reason for this trip is so we can sleep late?

Also, the directions from MCO that are included with the reservation confirmation, are they easy and accurate, or do some people have problems with them? We're renting a car at MCO.

Thanks for everything.
Michael

Have a great trip, mhochman!

Yes, I find the directions easy to follow.

One of the best restaurants we have ever ate at is the Ocean Grill. It is right on the ocean about eight miles away, and the food is fantastic. There may be up to a two hour wait for a table, depending on time and day of the week.
If you don't have children it's an easy wait, as there is a great bar. There is also a gift shop that my wife can't stay out of.
That's a pretty good deal though, as I leave her alone in the gift shop, and she leaves me alone in the bar! :drinking:

Just follow the directions, they are perfect. Don't do what I did the first time I was there and say there is a better way. Got lost of course.

If you want a chair you will have to pay my DD five bucks to save a chair. She has an Easter special sale of 3 chairs for ten dollars. Only kidding.
The chairs are hard to get, two should not be that major of a problem.

You would not be disappointed if you go to the Ocean Grill. That is where we are going for Easter.

The list is getting bigger for people going to Vero on Easter. I hope the weather holds up. See you there!

We just returned home from vero...seems kinda weird to have been walking on the beach this morning and now at home back on the DIS boards tonight. Anyhow...according to the CM's the resort was sold out while we were there....if it hadn't been for the CM telling us..we would have never have thought so. No problem getting a table or chairs late in the morning by the pool. Other than the line for the un birthday party sign up and the waterslide races..we didn't run into lines or crowds anywhere. We also loved the ocean grill and highly recommend it.

We will see you in VB in two days, we leave tomorrow afternoon, driving and we will stay over night at wdw thursday night and head over to VB . we tried making ressies for sonyas for sunday brunch, but they are booked, so disappointed. we will be eating at capt. hirmans (seafood) on sat. night.
my father in law is meeting us in vb with his boat, looking forward to a boat ride down to capt. hirmans. :teeth:

We leave tomorrow :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Haven't packed yet and the weatherman says we're getting 3-5 inches of snow tonight

I count five families going. That is enough for a basketball team. Maybe we will be the only familes there. I doubt it.

It's snowing hard in Jersey. 84 degrees on Saturday in Vero.

The resort's sold out so there will quite a few families. We have a DD who's 10. Hopefully, she'll have some kids her age.

The resort will be crowded. We will not be the only five families there. We have been there before for Easter. The first time they started the rope drop to get chairs was when I was there two years ago for Easter. People were saving chairs and then going to brunch and did not use the chairs until the afternoon.

My DD (13) is excited. We are going with another family who has three boys 7, 8 and 13. She is ready to be the tour guide and help them with the Easter egg hunt. She gets to baby sit and we get to go out.
