We are looking to book our first trip to Vero Beach. Any suggestions on what rooms are best or one we should try to avoid? We will be staying in a 2BR. Thanks

Hello there.

Well if you grab a map of VB you will see that the 2 bedrooms are all located in three separate villa buildings from the Inn. The Inn contains all the Inn Rooms. These villa buildings are three story and are in a 'U' shape with rooms that face east (ocean), north and south. Unfortunately these buildings are behind the walkway, vegetation and the 6 Beach Cottages, so do not contain may ocean views. The dedicated 2 bedrooms are the most challenged since they are located at the tips of the 'U' closest to the parking lot on each floor. So reserving a lock-off will give you a better chance of an ocean view, but even with lock-off the ground floor and even most second floor rooms will not give you that view either. What ever you get you will still hear the ocean and feel the mist.

I hope you have a great time. If you have any other questions just ask (..or if you didn't understand a word I wrote)

We've been to VB 3 times and loved it. The one disappointment was staying in a 2BDRM that had a balcony with walls. We love to sit outside and were unable to...claustrophbic!!! Be prepared to drive several miles if you don't plan to eat in the villa or at the resort. Our first two trips to VB we were thrilled with the food at both restaurants, third trip we found it way overpriced and mediocre. Our last trip was 8/07. You will fall in love with VB!

Sounds like our experience too. I don't know if we would have purchased a VB contract if the restaurants were as they are now. This past spring we ate more in our villa (including pizza delivery) and went out a couple times (Mo Bay Grill & Capt. Hiram's Sand Bar).

There is an excellent (and inexpensive!) smaller Italian restaurant that is a few miles south of the VB resort that is within walking distance of the public beach access. Nino's Cafe is the name of it...

Thanks for your feedback. Looks like we will be going in July. We will get a first hand experience of the Florida heat.

Do the studios have ocean view? If so which building are they in and is it hard to get one seven months out?
Thanks

If you want to be close to the pool, request building 14 - it's right next door. If you'd rather be further away, then request building 12 or 15. Other than that, the rooms are all great.
