We've only ever stayed in the studios at VB, never in the Inn building rooms - not sure what accommodation you're hoping for.

The first time we stayed there, we were allocated a studio overlooking the pool - great if that's what you want, but busier and noisier than we would have liked! We asked if it was possible to have a different location and got a studio in the building to the far left of the resort as enter from the highway (sorry, don't have a resort map to hand to give you a building number). We loved the location, and have been lucky enough to get a studio here when we have stayed since then. But a pool-room view may suit others much better - it's all down to personal preference ;)

We enjoyed the Sebastien Inlet State Park (DH fishes there) where we've seen a manatee and dolphins, and loved the DVC kayaking trip arranged by the resort.

I hope you have a great time at VB :)

We have stayed at Vero on several occasions. Just the two of us, so we have stayed in an ocean view inn room. Always ask for a high floor - the views are stunning.

Personally, I think five days is too long at Vero though. For us, it would be three nights at the most. It's a nice break from the theme parks, but quite a distance from any restaurants etc. The resort restaurants are very nice, but over-priced.

Beautiful resort!

I was thinking of having a relaxing week away. How far are resturants etc?? Also is there are entertainment for the children??

The resort has two restaurants, a pool-side bar and lounge serving food. As has been said, the resort restaurants aren't cheap, but we invariably eat there a couple of times because it's easy, and we enjoy the menu. We particularly like breakfast in Shutters and lunch in The Green Room sitting on the veranda looking out over the ocean... aahh ... :cloud9: There are restaurants in Vero Beach itself (a couple of miles from the resort) - we liked the Driftwood Inn - but someone will have to be the non-drinking driver if you go there!

There are daily entertainment/activities scheduled for children and adults. The only thing I've done is the kayaking, and DH did the introduction to scuba-diving. As far as I can remember the children's activites include lots of art and crafty things as well as more energetic outdoors things. There's also a mini crazy-golf course in the resort.
