vero beach ?

We are thinking about going to vero for a couple of days mid October. Can anyone tell me how far vero is from the Orlando airport? Also, how is the weather this time of year? Lastly, is it hard to get in at the 7 month mark for mid October?

My family and I went over Thanksgiving last year. The drive to Vero was about two hours and it is not hard to find at all. The weather was a little cool we went swimming in the pool but not the ocean. You are going a little earlier so it should be warmer. We had a blast and we will definitily go again. I have an eight year old daugther and she made alot of friends at the resort. On Monay and Wednesday they have a day camp. The first day she was very unsure about it and then begged us to allow her to go the second time.

According to google maps, it is 93.3 miles from MCO to VB, about 1 hr., 34 min.

This year we averaged around 80 degrees for the month of October.

Its about 95 miles from Orlando airport to VB using 528 East to I-95 South route.It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Yup just got back from a week in a BC at VB and it was approx 1:15 mins from airport and 1:40 to WDW.

It should not be hard to get a reservation. I've always thought October was perfect Florida weather - refreshingly cool in the morning/night but it warms up during the day. The intense mugginess is gone, and you are past peak hurricane season.
