I am doing VB in July with ds (6) and got some good replies over on the DVC board. You may want to loolk over there too. :goodvibes

You might also want to post this on the DVC board since it is one of the vacation club properties. :sunny:

We love Vero Beach. I think it is the hidden gem of DVC.

The 1st time we went was the best trip so far. It was May 2004 (before the hurricanes hit) the weather was great. Out DD had just turned 3 years old and I was 26 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child. We stayed 5 nights (only VB didn't do WDW.) and we had a blast. Nice and relaxing, weather was great. It was just what our family needed.

2nd trip was one year later. The place was still recovering from hurricane damage, and as luck had it the weather wasn't as good. We also had been at WDW for the 4 days before (had great weather.)

There is a lot of activities for young kids, the CM are very involved with the kids.

We are considering going back again this May DD will be 5, her sister 20 months old. Should be a good time. I hear all the hurricane damage is finally fixed.

You will love it. It is a stay right there, never leave if you don't want to kind of place!
The pool is fun for kids and adults. There is also a Pirate ship water play area for younger kids. Near the pool there is a putt-putt mini golf course-very simple, but something to do. They have various children activities throughout the day-crafts games. At night they have a campfire program-sing song, toast marshmallows-very fun. There is a room that is down the hall from the lobby, opposite direction of the pool and restaurants-they play movies sometimes .
You can borrow movies for the DVD/VCR player (forget what they have).
You can rent bikes and ride around the paths.
They staff here is very nice. There are restaurants on site that are very good. This is a great place to stay.
Of course I have not even mentioned the beach! Spend the day at the beach. What kid doesn't love that?

I'm making my first trip to VB in June and I'm really looking forward to it. Taking my Dad who will turing 80 and son who is turning 16 for their birthdays. :wizard:

I am in TOTAL agreement with that statement! VB is, by far, my favorite of the DVC resorts!
