Vero Beach - Wonderful Trip

This is our second trip to Vero Beach - we love this resort This trip we just chilled out by the beach and the pool and the weather was just wonderful. We ate twice at Shutters and the food was good and the service was great. One night we had pizza from Orchid Pizza which is rich up the road from the resort - they also deliver. Their pizza was terrific - the best we had in Florida so far

We also ate at Capt. Hiram's and Squid Lips. Don't miss Squid Lips - they are just up the road from Capt. Hiram's and on the water. They have entertainment every night from 5-9 pm...Trilogy was there when we were there. They were very good - they play Jimmy Buffet type music. The food was good too. We will definitely go back there again next year.

Our only negative is that we had 3 incidents with rude and obnoxious children. The parents were there but refused to correct them and I refuse to excuse bad behavior. I don't know what is wrong with today's parents - I don't blame the children because they aren't born with manners - they have to be taught. Luckily they were in the minority and the rest of the children were wonderful.

Glad you had a great trip! We leave this Monday for Vero and can't wait!! What happened with the rude kids if you don't mind me asking?

We were washing the sand off our feet and a little 5 year old girl just comes and sticks her feet in and pushes my DH's foot out of the way...I said to her "honey we are still washing off the sand you have to wait until we are finished". Her grandfather was right behind her and he apologized for her. I said to him that I didn't blame the little girl because children have to be taught manners and that he should have corrected her and not me. He agreed.

Another time we were on our way to the beach and the resort now has a gate and you need to use your key card to get on the beach. A teenage boy waited for us to put in our key card and then he rushed to go through the gate past us and never even said thank you. I said "you're welcome" and he looked at me like I was from Mars. His mother was right behind us and never corrected him either.

I won't bore you with the others - but we are just noticing that courtesy and manners are lost on our young

Is there a way I can get rid of the "stuff" appearing underneath my message i.e <Script language etc. ??

Welcome back! We'll be at VB next month. What type of room did you have? We have ocean view inn rooms. Really looking forward to trying the resort!
