I noticed on these boards that Vero Beach is still for sale through Disney. I also have read that it is difficult to get reservations there for DVC members at the 7 month point, especially in high demand times. How great is the demand for Vero Beach? If we think we want to buy at the BC, but would also like to travel to Vero at some point, should we buy points at both? Thanks!

Just like with any DVC resort, it is always easiest to book at your home resort. Booking at any other DVC resort has an element of risk and uncertainty. How hard it is to book depends on your flexibility in terms of type of accomodation, time of year and how long you are willing to sit on the wait list.

If you plan to visit Vero fairly regularly and have the cash to buy points to cover your stay there, that's the easiest thing to do. If visiting Vero is something you want to be able to do occassionally and you aren't planning on spring break or summer in a beach cottage, then you'll probably be able to work out a trip. Studios and the Inn rooms make up the majority of Vero. If these are the types of rooms you'd like, getting reservations should be possible without too much trouble. One and 2 bedrooms may take a little more luck and beach cottages may be very difficult (there are only 6).
