We just concluded a 4-day, 3-night trip to Vero Beach. It was sandwiched with a visit to Pop Century and VWL. Vero Beach was a pleasant surprise. This was our first Disney Beach vacation and was a joy. The resort is not massive so short walks to all the activity- the rumors of it being "far-off" the beach are unfounded. It was perfect. Plenty of activity for 8 year old through 14 year old through 43 year old. The Campfire was a little goofy but would be good for the 3 to 8 crowd. We played tennis, mini-golf, croquet, jet-ski, fun in the sun. Great vacation and will do it again. If fees weren't so high we might invest in some points here.
VWL- first trip was good to. Very busy and small pool and short slide were a little disappointing to older kids, but you really felt like you were in the wilderness and the lodge entry is jaw-dropping. Nice boat road and close proximity to Chef Mickey's and MK.
All-in-all a great trip!
