Vero Beach Resort for young kids?

We are thinking about booking a stay at the Vero Beach Resort the first week of May.

We have a 6 month old, and a 2 year old. We aren't so concerned about the 6 month old, because she's probably too young for anything.

But, does anyone know if there is a pool appropriate for a 2 yr old. From the pics, it doesn't look like a zero depth pool, but I can't tell for sure. Of course we always have the beach, but the pool is often much easier.

Also, would you recommend the studio or the deluxe oceanview inn room?

Any info on this resort is greatly appreciated...thanks!

We are going the 2nd week of May.

You will enjoy VB. They do have a pirate ship area that your 2 yr old may like, ours did when he was two. We have been there 4 times with our 4 and 6 yr old and they love it.

The pirate ship area has a tiny slide and some cannons that have water coming out of them. They have a playground, lots of activities for kids, the big lawn to run around on.

They probably will also enjoy the big pool, our daughter just sat on the stairs next to one of us until she felt comfortable with the water and then we held her and walked around.

They also have the little mini golf area and that is fun.

I know I'm probably forgetting something, so feel free to ask anything else.

I would stay in the Inn Ocean View room-you will have a mini bar area with a fridge (about3-4 ft tall), a little sink, micro, etc. Same as studio but it worked out well for us to be in the main Inn with young kids. We could just run down to the little store and get some milk or order room service and have it get there pretty quickly.

In my above post, I meant to say wet bar, not mini bar. There is no stocked mini bar in the room.

There are lots of food items available in the Island Grove Packing Co.-the store at the resort.
