Do you have to make priority seating at Vero's Shutters. Just wondering?? Lead time??
Thank you.

Shutters and Sonya's both allow PS's. Sometimes (during slow seasons) it's not strictly necessary, but it never hurts. We've made PS's as little as 1 hour before and not had to wait long (Shutters was unusually busy that night - but it was October, so...).

Priority seating is available. The need depends on the season and the events going on. When we were a VB in March, we used it twice; once for breakfast, when the space shuttle was being launched, as we figured (correctly) that there would be lots of people up early that morning; once for dinner when the lobby looked crowded in the late afternoon.

Remember, at Vero the general public seems to be able to come in and use the restaurant facilities. I saw several older couples or foursomes drive in with Florida plates who appeared to live nearby and just came for dinner. Thus the audience for the restaurants is more than just those staying at the resort.

Not only just the general public; Vero does host conventions; sometimes only lasting the day. So it's possible that on any given day, the resort population might be higher than normal.

If in doubt, call to make PS's - the CM will tell you whether they are needed or not.

Saturday mornings for the character breakfast. But when I was there in October I was disappointed in the quality of the food. Worst character breakfast quality of any we have experienced. Hopefully they have improved things but Goofy and Max were great in their interactions with adults and kids.

Do you think that PS is necessary in May? We are going in 2 weeks. We have PS at AKL in Orlando. We will be driving in for dinner one night but we didn't think that we would need it for VB.

Sat, 4/14. You will definitely need a PS for dinner at Shutters. We didn't have them the one night we tried to eat there and ended up waiting for about 45 minutes.

My husband and I enjoyed the food, but felt that it was overpriced. Breakfast was great though and we got in immediately.

Dream it and you're there!
