We will be staying at VBR next month. We are planning on taking a day trip to Epcot. Do we get to park for free at the parks?

I don't think so unless you have an AP/PAP. I don't believe a VB pass will get you parking at the parks.

I have heard the answer is yes, and I have "some" confirmation of that.

We usually visit Vero before heading to WDW, and when drive from VB to VWL we always leave the Vero parking pass in the window. As we approach the MK toll plaza on our way to VWL we are always waved through.
I've never really figured out if that's because of the Vero pass, or if they're just not paying close attention...

I also heard you can room charge at WDW using your Vero room key.
I have no confirmation this is true, but perhaps you can try it and report back...

Yes you can park at WDW using a VB parking pass without charge. And your KTTW card issued at VB will work for charging and admissions (if applied to it) as well.

A few years ago we journeyed from VB to the MK for a day trip... I explained to the guard at the gate that we were staying at VB and he saw the parking pass... We got waved right through...

I also experimented with putting charges on the room key... Worked like a charm.. I went back the next day to the VB front desk and our charges from MK were itemized on our bill...
