We are planning a 3 day relaxing trip to Vero Beach with our points. Can anyone tell me how it is and if you have any pictures of the hotel and the rooms and views. Thanks

We love Vero Beach and think it's really worth it. The rooms are great, we've stayed in one bedroom and two bedroom units. We toured the cottages and they are awesome. Lots of activities for the kiddies, great pool and slide, also kiddie area and mini golf course. The beach is great. It's relaxing and I highly recommend it.

We love VB. We've been three or four times and generally get OVIR - two connecting so we are assured an ocean view. Our kids have been various ages on our trips and have always enjoyed their time there. Last trip, we ventured out more and saw more of Vero Beach - the town. We found nice places to eat and some places to shop. Some year - we'll just go for a full week in a 2BR and make it our full vacation. We love HH & VB and when we travel to one - we always miss the other.

I own at VB and look forward to spending more time there once we relocate to FL. We stayed in the main inn and loved it.

VB is definitely worth the trip! My DH and I stayed there June 1-4 after a nine day trip to WDW. It was heavenly! We're even considering adding on points there.

Yes, it's definitely worth the trip and we plan to go there every yr or 2. I'd recommend the DVC rms over inn rm. Our ocean vw inn rm in April was dull and the sink and bathrm really needed to be replaced. New bed comforters were nice though and it's convenient for getting coffee refills or running to the little store in the lobby in the am.

Are there things for 2 older adults, without children to do also?
Dh and I are looking forward to a trip next year. I am such a planner, but I don't know much about the area.

DH and I went in October of last year for two nights and loved it. We had OVIR (if you look at Hsvteacher's picture of the back of the resort-we were the room right behind the palm tree!) We are not into being busy on vacation so we loved just hanging out and relaxing. The sunrise was gorgeous and we loved our balcony--small but big enough for two chairs. We went to the pool one day and walked around the grounds. We walked the beach a bit and also walked across the street to see the sports area but didn't participate in anything. We attended the bonfire/s'more party one night. (It was cute but the best thing was talking to another DVC couple and sharing stories of our WDW trips.) We thought the food at the Green Cabin and Shutters was good and the staff was lovely. Our room had been renovated so it was clean and shiny. Overall, we thought it was a great adult vacation and look forward to doing it again.
P.S. We also look forward to bringing the kids and grandkids (whenever we have some) to the cottages! That looks like a great family vacation. Can't wait!

My family loves Disney World, so we never really thought to try Vero Beach until last year. We thought we'd check it out and possibly take a day trip up to the Kennedy Space Center. It was 4th of July weekend and we stayed in the Inn. We LOVED IT! My daughters (8 & 15) had a blast. Between the beach, the turtle tours, and the great 4th of July Pool Party; it was probably one of our best family vacations to date. I can't wait till we can make arrangements to go again.

We went to the Treasure Museum, watched the City of Vero Beaches Fireworks, spent plenty of time at the beach, and the activities are awesome.

Kennedy Space Center was cool too - well worth a day trip.

VB is a wonderful retreat from the hustle of WDW. Another plus is the rooms at VB have just been rehabbed with new carpet, drapes, bed spreads, and flat screen tv's. We really love it there.
