Vero Beach for couples?

Hi. Is Vero Beach suitable for a relaxing holiday for a couple or is it mostly for families?

I would say Vero Beach is also good for couples. It actually seems a little less kid oriented to me than some resorts in Orlando. The pool can be pretty kid filled, depending on when you're there, but the beach is great, you can bike or play tennis, there is a nice lounge/bar with views of the water and entertainment some evenings. We went to a wine tasting seminar one time while there.

I believe VB is ideally suited for adults!
We go at least once a year (approaching 50ish couple)

My husband and I went last year for a week and we loved it there. We relaxed, walked the beach and just generally enjoyed each other and the week. So much so that we are going back for 6 nights this fall too. THe only place we generally saw a lot of children was at the pool, even that wasn't overwhelming.

Went to Vero in June with my wife for her 40th! It was awesome! There are many very good resturants around and the bar at the resort is great! We had a blast and will go back whenever we can find someone to watch the four kids again.

Vero is great for couples. Since we retired and moved down to Florida, we use many of our point to go to Vero for mini getaways and love it. Lots of great restaurants around and a lot to explore. We always try to get a beachview inn room. Can't beat waking up to that view in the morning.

I am currently reading thru the Vero Beach Lovers Thread and it looks SO nice! I am actually thinking of branching out and trying this resort, which is out of character for me - no pun intended.

It would just be me and my DBF - I have a few questions and hope the OP doesnt think I am hijaking the thread:

~ I am assuming there is no ME to Vero so a rental car is needed?

~ What would be the best accomodations for a couple who loves to sit on a balcony or deck? The studios of course look wonderful and I would def want one on a higher floor for views sake but what about the OVIR's? I will be searching for pics for those too since I would love to see what they all look like!

First, the VB thread will answer all these questions, have pictures and more!

2nd - correct no ME and you'll want a rental car while there to appreciate the many fine things to do and see in the Vero area.

3rd - Well, "The best" would be a Beach Cottage, but that sucks up ALOT of points - next best would be an Ocean View Inn Room (OVIR)...the ovir's are the only ones (aside from a BC) that guarantees you an ocean view.

We haven't taken the kids with us to Vero for years! It is a WONDERFUL place for couples. Enjoy your trip!

Our first trip to Vero was for our 25th anniversary...a couple nights there followed by time (can't remember now how long) at OKW. We absolutely loved it and have been back several times, both as a couple and with kids and grandkids. If you're early risers, you can catch the sunrise on the beach...gorgeous! You can also have a couple of cocktails relaxing in the Green Cabin Room, dinner at Sonja's, even just sit out watching and listening to the waves, etc. And for total relaxation you must try the spa! All very romantic. It was very habit forming for us, too!
