Vero beach during summer at 7 month?

Hi everyone!

We have stayed at many DVC's and most recently visited HH and loved it. This got us itching to try Vero and I think I would love this just as much or even more. The problem is that we can only travel during the summer as we are going with SIL & BIL and we are on school schedules.

How likely is it that (in your opinion) we will score a two bedroom or 2 studios for a Sun-sat stay at the end of July/ beginning of August at the 7th month mark?

Is it even possible for me to call MS and even see if it is available now right before my 7th? If not I can plan to do something else, like try for HH or make other plans?

Hi There. We tried at 7 months for The Beach Cottage with no luck(July 2012). We are now wait listed. There were however sporatic opening for 2 bedrooms and lots of Studios available. You should be fine in August.

We visited HHI as a family over spring break a couple of years ago (kids 10,11,12) and then Vero this spring as a kid-free getaway weekend. I don't know if we were just looking at Vero through the "adult" lens, but we really thought that there wasn't as much at Vero to appeal to the kids as at HHI. As adults, however, we preferred Vero -overlooking the love bug hatch

We got two two bedrooms this past summer at the seventh month mark for the first week of August. 5 adults and 4 kids ages 7-12. We had an absolutely great time. We boogie boarded everyday (did get stung by jellyfish, but wasn't a big deal after the first time), went on Captain Bob's swamp boat (awesome), and went to Kennedy Space Center. Most of the time just hung out at resort. We'd go back in an instant.

The summer months at VB are not peak. You should have a reasonable chance of getting what you are looking for.

Try for a lock-off 2 bdrm first. That gives your guests a kitchenette and their own entry way. And you have your own separated areas.

Dedicated 2 bdrm 2nd.. you have a full kitchen and lots of room

Then 2 studios... both have kitchenettes and would be separate areas... but you may not be next to or near each other.

I have never been to Vero Beach, however, I was able to snag a Studio (Oceanview?) at my 7 month mark for June. I would think that it would be a good chance.
