Vero beach at Easter

We go to Disney every April, but with Easter falling over our spring break this year I thought it would be nice to break things up and spend a few days at Vero beach. Has anyone been to Vero beach on Easter? Do they have any special activities? Is it wam enough to go in the water? Is ther anything to do there if it rains? How long of a drive to Disney?
