Vero Beach Area Restaurant Recommendations

Hi Everyone,

We will be staying at VB over Thanksgiving for 4 nights and was wondering if anyone would like to share their restaurant recommendations? We will hopefully be having Thanksgiving dinner at the Inn. Since this will be our first time to VB, we will be "exploring" the area; so what restaurants would you suggest (or not suggest!) that are within a 30-45 minutes driving range of the Inn? Also, any restaurants you would suggest that are unique (i.e. the food might be okay, but the restaurant or location is unique and different)?

Make sure to read the VB thread for info.

The most popular/commented places are Squid Lips, Captain Hiram's, and Orchid Island ("next door").

The resort has served a nice Thanksgiving buffet in years past. Be sure to make a reservation though, a lot of locals diNE at the resort too.

We were at Vero Beach Resort again last week. Had a very nice casual dinner at Mr. Manatee's (first time there; very good food, great service, reasonable price), and then our traditional dinner at Ocean Grill.

pizoodles is good for pizza. The garlic knots are amazing.


I've read good reviews of The Lemon Tree for breakfast. We're going to try it on out next visit.
