Vero Beach and Kids?

We have a 5 and 3 year old...is Vero Beach worth going to for a week? How do you go about getting there? Orlando..bus...car rental? Or do you fly into Lauderdale.

It totally depends on when you go. April thru Oct., I would say, the kids could play on the beach and swim in the ocean. We went in March and it was too cold. The DVC resort is very nice, but for a week, there isn't that much to due. We were there 4 days, and were ready to leave after 3.

My family could stay a month with no problem whatsoever. We LOVE VERO!

There are quite a few scheduled activities for kids in that age range. When our boys were much younger they spent a great deal of time participating in activities, some with fees some free. We book VB for 5-10 days depending on what else we are doing that trip. Last summer we spent 10 because we had a new baby and wanted alot of relaxing, this summer 10 days at Disney and 6 at VB.
