Vero beach/akv split stay

We are wanting to do a split stay between AKV and VB in June 2010. I have 11 month home resort advantage, but only 7 months for VB. We are wanting a 2 bedroom. What is the likelihood of getting a 2 bedroom at VB mid June 7 months out.

This is what we were looking at

Sunday, June 13th - Wed June16th @ AKV 2BR KIDANI SV
Thurs, June 17th - Sat June 19th @ VB 2BR

We are doing the exact same thing for our August trip this summer. I booked the entire stay at AKV at our 11month booking window, then when our 7 month window hit I was on the phone at 9am to switch the 1st two days over to Vero. I had no problem getting a 2 bedroom dedicated. Good luck!!!

I had that thought in the back of my head as well - book entire 6 nights at AKV then switch 2 nights over to VB at 7 month window, but VB is less points so when I switch it over I will have some left over points. Those leftover points cannot be rolled over, right? I am under the impression that any cancelled points must be used during that used year and not rolled over. I guess I will have to work with the numbers to alleviate that problem

In that scenario, you would not be cancelling points but reallocating them. As long as they are current UY points and not banked, borrowed, or developer points, you can bank the remaining points into the following UY. Banked and borrowed points must be used in the current UY or they will be lost. Developer points usually come with a use by date.

I booked 3 weeks at AKV at 11 months using all this years points and then paid some in cash ( you dont actually pay untill checkin) Then at 7 month I phoned and swapped our last week over to Vero I then borrowed points from next year to pay the difference. I didnt borrow the points at the 11 month as I would have used more than I needed with Vero being a cheaper resort. Hope that makes sence!!
