Vero Beach after the beach restoration question

We are staying at Vero Beach this fall and I heard that after the beach restoration, there is a hefty ledge of sand between the umbrellas and the beach. Can anyone tell me how difficult is is to get up and down from the beach to the resort. We are traveling with my parents who are in there 80's, so I am concerned how difficult this may be. Any input would be appreciated.

There is a definite ledge now...we were just there 3 weeks ago. I'm in my early 40's and have knee problems - have all my life - and climbs of any sort bother me (steps, slopes, etc.). I felt the ledge was difficult to climb. I managed it but did see an older lady having difficulty and had 2 of her relatives helping her. They really need to make it easier to go up and down somehow.

I didn't even bother, but I have friends who are also in their 60s and they managed. I don't think the ledge is as bad by the public beach, is it? I was busy doing other things, I did mean to go take a walk there, but ran out of time.

Does anyone have any photos of the ledge as I am getting married on the beach there in October and I think this ledge is going to make for a less than glamorous entrance!!:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::scared1:
