Vero beach 1st timer

Hi - doing a quick one night stay on WEdnesday 5th Feb in a 1 bed at Vero.
I am a seasoned OKW"er - never go anywhere else unless we cant get in at OKW ( we fear change LOL).
Can anyone give me a quick run down on what Vero"s best points are? we really want to try and utilize Vero more as we have loads of points to use and we always end up banking them. Looking for tips on best times to visit, where to eat, what to do etc - we are only about 3 hrs from Vero and feel we are missing out.

Assume you know the pool is closed till Feb 11

If the pool is closed, they will give you free mini golf and free bike rentals. So, be aware. We checked out last Sunday.
