What is the best way to go to both Vero beach and WDW? Is landing at Orlando the best place for going to beach? Is it best to go to beach first or last?

Can we rent a car but then take ME back to airport if we use Orlando? I am just thinking for way out in the future that a beach and park trip would be nice but wonder how it is done?

We fly into Orlando and rent a car. We've been to Vero twice now, both times before going to WDW. A lot of people do the opposite, though.

On our first trip, we rented a car from Alamo and used it to drive to Vero, then we dropped it off at the Dolphin and used Disney transportation (including ME) for the rest of the trip. For our second Vero trip in October we kept the car the entire time.

Happy planning!

We just got back from a trip where we did a couple of days of Vero after three days at WDW - Vero was a nice relaxing change after 3 tiring days at the parks.

In terms of transpo, we did ME from MCO to OKW, rented a car at Alamo in the World for trip to Vero and dropped the car off at MCO...worked out pretty well.

I like the WDW first/ VB second plan. We have done a few days at WDW with lots of action then a five night stay at the beach to chill out.

We have flown in and out of MCO since it is a direct flight. Other airport options are the small Melbourne (MLB) airport that Delta services or West Palm Beach (PBI) that is about the same distance as MCO to VB.

We just did this last month- We rented a car at MCO and drove to VB. We stayed 3 days and then onto WDW. We returned the car when we got to WDW and used Disney buses at SSR.

VB is very relaxing and we loved it, but next time we have decided to go to WDW first and then to VB to relax. We were so laid back our first day at the parks with zero energy. We think that we were just tooo relaxed from three days at the beach that we could not get into the swing of things right away.

Hope you have a great trip!

definitely WW then Vero. We've done it 3 plus years now and it's the way to go. you get the park excitement first without "waiting for it" and then a few wonderful quiet (relatively of course) days to decompress before going home.

We have done a split stay with VB and BC and flew into Orlando.

We went to VB first for 3 days. It was so nice and peaceful. The pool wasn't very busy and nobody was on the beach. This was in October.

We then drove to BC and stayed there for the remainder of our vaca. It was a blast and our favorite WDW resort by far. They have such a great, large pool area and so many places to eat close by.

Have a nice trip.
