Verizon Smart Rewards - anyone use?

Just learned about it and I have 11K points. I was hoping I could redeem for GC's to use on an upcoming trip, but it appears you can't use all you rewards at once? Or you can only use a designated amount per reward and have to pay the difference.

Any Verizon customers use this reward site, and if so, what are you using your points on?

No I haven't and I have lots of points. I just can't see the value in it

I stayed away from this program. This was the language in the terms you had to agree to, that I didn't like:

"We ask you permission to use information about your use of Verizon products and services, the websites you visit and apps you use, as well as your device and its location. We may also use other information like age range, shopping preferences and information about the quantity, type, destination, location, and amount of use of your Verizon telecommunications and interconnected voice over internet services (known as CPNI)."

There was no way I was consent to let them use all that information about me. Then you add in the fact that the program didn't seem that great, and I stayed far away.

I have a half million points and see nothing to use them on I can't get elsewhere. With Kroger 4x fuel points, it equated to $12 back for $100 spent, plus another $2 on the credit card for rewards. The gift cards are only 10% off with Verizon.

I have a jillion points and just used some to buy a 500.00 carnival gift card for 450. I was using eBay with ebucks but because of all the changes this now seemed like my best option for getting 10% off my cruise. This was the first time I had used any points.

Every now and then I get an email from Verizon telling me I have a billion points and I should use them now. I looked at the program, I don't see how the points get you anything you couldn't get elsewhere. Waste of time.

I too have a lot of points. I just use them on their travel sweepstakes but don't expect to win anything. It seems like it was a failed marketing gimmick.

I have them and use them, but I have fios and you can rent movies with them so I use them for that.

My husband and I were just talking about this and wondering the same thing. I wish they had a larger selection of GC's (like Target for example) but since they don't I think ours will go unused.

Have you actually used the gift card yet? This is only gift card on there that it would be worth for me to use but I think I saw small print for the Royal Caribbean ones that they could only be used on certain things. We do have a Carnival cruise planned for next year so a little savings would be great. We also have like a billion points but I never see anything worth using them on.

We paid off our Carnival cruise with the gift cards. It was a nice savings. They are hard to get, so I signed up on a forum to be notified when they were in stock. I know the Royal Caribbean gift cards had different requirements.
