I.have a samsung galaxy s3 . It will cost 150 to fix and the.same.to replace with insurance. I was wondering does anyone know where I can buy a phone for a reasonable price? I have an unlimited plan so I dont want to change my.plan.

If you have Facebook, post on your wall. One of your friends/family might have an old phone laying around their house somewhere. Also check the local to you fb buy/sell/trade or tag sale groups. Just make sure that the one you get is either set for Verizon or unlocked.

Ebay might be another good option for you, or maybe even a Pawn shop.

I had the same issue with my iPhone a while ago, $199 to replace with insurance, $100 to get the screen fixed, or over $200 to buy a used one from someone I knew or on Ebay. I was also trying to avoid losing the unlimited plan so buying from Verizon was not an option. I ended up paying to get the screen fixed, it was the least expensive option, and the kiosk at the local mall gave me a 120 day warranty on the repair.

eBay is a good option. Only buy from a seller with a lot of positive feedback for selling phones.

quick question - i have an unlimited plan with verizon too. How do I get to keep my plan and get a new phone? verizon told me i couldn't do it

You have to get either an unlocked phone or a Verizon phone. I would look on Amazon or eBay. You won't lose your plan unless you upgrade on your line. I have the same situation with Verizon and ended up paying full retail price on a new iPhone to keep my grandfathered-in unlimited data. They've really got the upper hand on their data but you can keep it if you buy your own phone.

I bought my daughter an iPhone 6 from gazelle for verizon and it was in excellent condition.

I've bought two used Samsung Galaxy S4's on ebay. One that would work with Verizon, and one that would work with At&t. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Look for a power seller that has good overall feedback, offers a good return policy, and at least a 30 day warranty would be a plus too. Make sure you read the auction details very carefully. The auction should clearly state the condition of the phone, what network/networks the phone can work on, and that the phone has a clean esn. A clean esn is a must have. It normally means that the phone and it's previous owner are not currently under contract, nor has it been reported as being lost/stolen. Hope this helps.

I ended up buying from Amazon. Thanks you guys. I am getting a s5 so still a better deal rhan verizon and a one year warranty.
