Anyone have one of these? Is Verizon offering any specials on their Iphone? I just have a regular phone now.. what do you like about your Iphone4 if you have one? thanks for any advice.

I've had the iPhone4 for about a month now and I love it. Before this I only had phones that sent texts and made and received phone calls. I really spent a long time wondering if it would be worth it to me to have one.

My gosh! It's like coming out of the dark ages. It is very user friendly.

It's faster than my 4 year old Macbook and I use it for looking up just about everything. Having a 5mp camera on the iphone is a joy too.

Dh is looking at this same phone too and comparing it to the thunderbolt. I look forward to reading about this.

I have one, got it when it first came out in February. Before that I had a basic phone (LG Dare). I have the iPod Touch so I was familiar with the user interface (that and the fact that I've wanted an iPhone since they came out years ago). I LOVE it!!!! The only incentive is if you have an upgrade credit available. That's how I got mine. DD has a Samsung Fascinate and absolutely loves that. Go to the store and play around with it.

DS has one and it is the required device for the teen set. Keep in mind that it is more of a mini computer than a cell phone. In addition to the other notes bear in mind that at some (as yet undetermined) date they will change the data plan from unlimited to tiered. I suspect they are waiting to get a significant body of users and data to calculate the best plan structure. Service is certainly superior in the northeast compared to AT&T.

This doesn't answer the OP's question exactly, but my husband was just issued an iPhone 3G for work and has the same feeling that the above poster has. He has been amazed at what all it can do and how he can use it (and his isn't even the iPhone4).

Like flamingglobessigmund, I have wondered about it being worthwhile, but after watching DH, I'm leaning pretty strongly towards getting one myself.

Keep in mind that a Verizon iPhone cannot do multitasking, which I find very useful. On an AT&T phone, you can talk while surfing the web and using apps. With Verizon, it's one thing at a time.

I agree with this 100% I have an unlimited data plan with AT&T because I have had various iPhones so long. Now I can never cancel because I can't get this plan back!

Regarding the elimination of unlimited data plans with Verizon Wireless - I have it on good authority that will be ending this summer. Users who already have the $30 unlimited data plan will be "grandfathered" into it, but others will be put on the new (limited) plans.

I've had my iPhone for a few months, and it's okay. For a new smartphone user, I recommend it. I like to have more control over my phone though, than the limited options that Apple allows me. I prefer the Android operating system, and will probably be changing back to an Android phone soon.

I think when and if Verizon goes with a tiered data plan, those of us who are already under contract with unlimted data will be grandfathered in.

Oops - sherry7 and I posted at the same time

My husband just got the Verizon iphone 4. It was $199 because he was at the end of an old contract. I've heard you can get the 3 for like $50 now, but I don't know how many differences there are. We got the $30/month data plan.

My contract is up in December, so I'm hoping by then the iphone4 will be even cheaper because of the iphone5 coming out :)

I have mine for about a month... and it is the BEST.

When I was about to order the phone I was told there were no discounts on the phone (we usually get discounts on Verizon products thru my employer).

So I was happy as punch when I finally did order it that they gave me a $50 credit (due to my old phone being so old)... so I paid $149 for my iphone 4.

apple has totally perfected the user interface of its phone. its so above and beyond anything I couldve imagined.

did I mention the phone is the BEST?

I happen to have an iPad for about a year now... And I have to say... if one has an iphone... I dont see the value of the ipad (esp considering the price of an ipad).

I love mine. Seeing as how its the 3rd iPhone (1st one they came out with, a 3GS & now the 4) I have had, I know I could never go back to a regular one. Once you get it you will love it. I do recommend if you are going to get one get it soon as I know the hubs and I could never go back to a plan with a limited amount of data.

I have the Verizon iPhone 4 and I love it.

I like the reliability of the Verizon network and the wonderful feel of the iPhone. It is a win/win situation.

I like having the iPod thing and being able to make calls from it, and it syncs perfectly w/my MacBook. Definitely my favorite phone I have ever had.

I just got one 2 days ago and am wondering what took me so long! It is really easy to use - my 3 year old can manuever around in it to find Angry Birds LOL. The internet is much faster than my old Blackberry. The touch screen is really responsive. My DH has a Droid, and I always had a tough time trying to text from his phone, kept hitting the wrong letter and such. I never thought I would buy an iPhone, but after using DH's iPad, I was hooked, so now I have a mini iPad to use everywhere.

ETA: He bought me a refurbished iPhone 4 that cost $150. They retail for $650 with no contract, but I can't remember how much they would be if you upgrade to one.

No! Say it isn't so...I have an iPod Touch, and iPhone 4 and am planning
on getting the iPad within the next month or so. Please tell me your thoughts...I could use the iPad in the house(WiFi) and not drain the battery
on my phone, it has a bigger screen and apps that aren't available for the iPod or iPhone.
