Thursday 7th August.
After our late night we slept in until 9am. We were meant to be off to the beach, but none of us really felt like it , so we decided today was a Sea World day. After a breakfast of cereals and a cherry danish for me, we arrived at Sea World for 11am. We were planning to buy Fun Passes, but it was obvious that we really werent going to get the use out of them, so just opted for the Buy one day, get one day free tickets, with a $10 discount that someone had given us. Bargain!
We started off by seeing the penguins, then fed the Sea Lions, attempting to dodge those greedy birds!
We stopped by the beautiful horses before going into the deli house for lunch and a much needed cool down, it was a HOT day! Si had the beef deli sandwich and I had the beef stew in a bread bowl, which I had last trip and is just delicious, though very filling.
Evie had the Shamu lunchbox, with shamu cup, hot dog, crisps and raisins. I think Evie was glad to escape from Disney lunches where she keeps getting grapes and carrot sticks! After a nice lunch and feeling much cooler, Simon grabbed his free beer and we headed over the see Clyde and Seymore. On the way we caught the horse parade which was nice.
The show was great, with the pre show being hysterical as usual. We were feeling very hot and sticky after the show, so had a wander through the shops to cool down, then went to see the Sting-Rays. At this point Evie was whinging for an ice cream, so we had a sit down, Evie and Simon had a shamu bar and I had a pepsi.
I should point out that Evie isnt wet through sweat, she had one of those water/fan things and drenched us all!
To finish the day off at Sea World, we went round to the dolphins, where Evie loved the underwater viewing area. We were really disappointed that the outside dolphin viewing area has been cut down so much, it was near impossible to get near the front.
On the way out we activated our cards for our free day then headed back to the car.
We were convinced that Ecie would fall asleep, so we decided we would go to Florida Mall and Evie would have a nap on the way round the shops, of course she didnt! We were lucky to have sat nav built into our car, so tapped in the mall and off we went.
We parked near JC Penneys, the first stop was Gap children. Why is it SO easy to buy childrens clothes?? Evie came out with a fleecy tracksuit and a brown dress. I then spent a bit in Old Navy and Victorias Secret and we wandered into the Thomas Kinkade shop.
Evie was ready for her tea, but we werent hungry so we got some rice, bourbon chicken and tropical chicken to share in the food hall. We wandered in a few more shops before heading back to POFQ.
It was only about 7pm, and we decided to let evie have an hour in the pool. Simon had a Bud and I had a Sunken Treasure while she played in the little pool.
We then spent a bit of time watching telly, and me making my trippie notes before off to sleep.
Tomorrow: AK, Family photoshoot and Logans Roadhouse.
