verifying age on DDP

As the OP of this thread I think it's time to put an end to it. I have actually lost interest in my question now. DDH thinks the DDP is ridiculous and restrictive so we'll be eating on our own once again anyway. Thanks to mckycrzy1971 :worship: for being supportive and NOT judgemental. And to everyone who didn't like the post to begin with, I hope that the next time you're in the grocery store and you see that the cashier doesn't ring up a bag of chips, that you run back in to customer service and pay them!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 That's stealing ya no.
I think that is the perfect decision for your family. Our's too actually. We wouldn't get the DDP but it's offered free when we're going so of course we're going get it. All my family are light eaters, so all that food is not necassary. :)

So then am I right to assume that on the DDP sometimes they will let 10 year olds order of the child's menu and sometimes they won't?
As an adult on the DDP I've ordered of the kids menu. Not to save money, it was just because I wasn't that hungry.

I can't vouch for other people's experiences.

I have seen a couple of other posting about WCC using some practices that are not necessarily part of Disney Dining practices...one was when a 2 year old was charged to eat off of a parent's plate (Skillet) despite the fact Disney Dining policy is to allow children under 3 eat from a parent's plate or even get their own plate of food at a buffet at no charge...the poster said the manager was consulted when the issue came up and even he/she said the child had to pay the full child price for the skillet!

I am wondering if it is just WCC management being too picky, wanting to make more profit, or just not wanting to accommodate guests? Hopefully the problem that cherylvl had at WCC is only a problem there and not resort wide...it makes no sense why they would not let an adult order off of the kids menu when on the DDP...it is not like they are out any money...unless it has something to do with gratuity...like the servers would not receive as much because the actual check would not be as high.

My DH also thinks the DDP is ridiculous and restrictive and doesn't want to buy it. He'd rather pay more OOP and not worry what the kids choices are at the resturaunts and which ones have the foods on the kids menus that all 4 of our boys will want to eat (none), and running around all the parks to eat at those places (even though we are closer to another one). Its just easier to buy or split meals from both the kids and adult menus OOP and have everyone happy.
