Verandah help needed!

I guess I'm a very small minority on this subject. I don't think it's worth the add'l cost. We've had full verandah on both of our previous Disney cruises. I think we were out on the verandah for no more than 30 minutes on each cruise. In fact, we were rarely in our 2 connecting cabins. Other than sleeping or getting ready, we were out in public areas or off the ship. For us, there were tooooo many things to do than to just sit around...

Mfan,
I agree with the budget consciousness. I debated with myself for weeks before deciding. The big difference for us is that we are somewhat private. My final decision to go with a veranda was based on that. When on vacation, I spend more time in than out. It's nice to have the option of enjoying being on the ocean, yet not always being in public places. For those who like to be out and about a lot, I would guess it's much less important. Of course, we don't plan to stay in our rooms all the time, but I am looking forward to quiet times everyday.

We were on the Magic 1/01 and had a verandah and LOVED it!! It was great in the mornings to sip that first cup of coffee out there and start our day, and we enjoyed it every evening to "gaze up at the stars" before going to bed. And I'm the type of person who needs some "alone time" every day so it was great to be able to escape the crowds and go to our own verandah and enjoy some peace and quiet and a good book for an hour or two in the afternoons. And I enjoyed watching us pull away from ports from the privacy of our verandah. We are booked on the Magic again this January, and HAD to have a verandah this time too, I wouldn't want to cruise without one!! :)
