I'm thinking about going to the Vera Bradley Outlet sale in April. I have always wanted to go and I have a certificate for a free hotel night that expires May 31 with nothing to use it for. So I thought, "What the heck!"

I'm trying to pick a good time to go. I teach on Wed. afternoon, so can't go on the first day. But I can head to Ft. Wayne on Wednesday night and go to the sale on Thursday.

The first session is 7:30 - 10 am. Seems too early to me!

The second session is 11 - 1:30. I'm thinking about signing up for this one.

My question is, is it worth it to get up so early and go to the first session? Will I miss out on a lot? If not, I prefer the second session time. I could wake up, eat breakfast, check out of the hotel, then go to the session.

Thanks,
Maggie

Are they doing sessions this year? We have always gone on the last day. Last year there wasn't much left by Sunday. We thought with all the outlets maybe they wouldn't have one this year. What are the dates?

ooohhhhhh I want to go so bad !

I wish there was somebody I trusted enough to paypal some money and shop for me ! Imagine if they had facetime and we could facetime eachother and I could see all the products and pick what I really wanted the most :cloud9:

Yes, my head is in la-la land :lovestruc

Whatever you do, HAVE FUN !

Hi ladies! I live in Fort Wayne and the VB outlet sale is a huge deal here. So big that I don't tend to go near that part of town on the VB weekend! I have gone to the sale the past 2 years, but it was on a preview day/special ticketed day.

For maggiew, you didn't mention which hotel your voucher is for, but if it's for Holiday Inn, there is one literally across the road from the Coliseum. Honestly, I don't think that one session will be any better or worse than the other. The amount of inventory that they have sitting out is truly amazing - you cannot even fathom how much they have to sell. It is a very well organized and well staffed event; the staff is continually replenishing inventory and they have aisle after aisle after aisle of stuff. You won't even know what you missed out on. It's almost a bit overwhelming.

Plan on crowds!!! Every VB fan will be out in full force (and I truly mean that in a good way!) It is definitely an event to experience at least once in your life.

Hope you enjoy Fort Wayne!!

Worse than trying to get a cabbage patch in the 1980's!

I've been several times...always on the preview day when it was Wednesday and tickets were $10. The free days were Thurs-Sat...Loads of inventory, but not enough of good patterns or good styles. I ended up buying more than I went after, then had to spend money at a store to get a matching wallet. I find it easier and cheaper to buy at a local store during a 20% off sale and get what I want.

I will say, it is an experience and I am glad I have done it. But I would not do it again!

I also want to add, I have not been since they started dividing it into sessions and making more ticketed days.

My Mom & I are going on that Friday. Our ticketed time is at 11. We are super excited about going! I just hope the deals are good!! :goodvibes

My hotel voucher is for the Marriott. I called and they said it was about 1.3 miles or something from the Coliseum.

I'm not a super, huge Vera Bradley fan. But I do have a messenger bag and a wallet. My girls have several bags. In fact, their Easter "basket" this year is a new Vera Bradley bag that I got on a super sale.

The one thing is that the patterns that my girls have are a clearanced pattern, so it is harder and harder to find stuff. So I thought I might have luck at the outlet sale.

I will be on the lookout for Paprika and Carnaby. My design is Pirouette. I just got my niece a Saddle Up bag in Barcelona, so I will probably look for that too.
