Vera Bradley Lizzy/Mini hipster...

I got a VB birthday discount in the mail, so naturally I just had to go look for a new bag for the parks! I have only had a mini hipster which worked great in the parks, but the strap broke. So, while looking at the new mini hipster(with thicker strap) I found the Lizzy. I ended up getting the Lizzy on sale and also getting my 25% off birthday discount! So, my question is..does anyone here love to carry the Lizzy in the parks or do you like the mini hipster better?

I carried the Lizzy in November and it was great. I recently bought a little hipster thinking I might carry it next trip.

I use a Lizzy for most of my everyday life - love this little purse! It is great for the parks with the zippered pockets and plenty of credit card slots, as well as a place to slide your ID/license. I can also throw in my cell phone and small digital camera as well as my chapstick and pill box so I'm good for the day! The cross body strap saves me having to hang onto my purse and it's pretty impossible to make it too heavy as it's not a huge purse.

I LOVE the Provencal pattern.. I know it is supposed to be French but reminds me of the South Pacific. I have the Get Carried Away and Weekender in it ~ lucked out at our outlet store and got both for $68 (before tax) DH got me the carry it all wristlet as a gift, so now I am ready to travel! (If only we had a trip planned)
I am happy to hear another likes this pattern, the lady at the outlet said not too many seem to buy this pattern, and she was surprised as she said she felt it spoke "far away travels" too!

I have not been to Disney yet but plan to use my Lizzy in the park this fall. I have the mini hipster, it's a cute, well-designed little purse, and I like the redesign but I just like the Lizzy better. I think the mini hipster is too flat and gets bulgy too easy, I can fit my wallet in the Lizzy if I need to. I got one in Midnight Blues with my birthday coupon last month! I have 2 now and kinda want to get more now that it's retiring - such a cute purse.

yay! I have a $60 gift card that I'm hanging on to...my bday may be the perfect time to use it , maybe toward some Christmas gifts. I bought a lot of grad gifts and 2 birthday ones last month and while my total bill was brutal ($300 I had 9 total gifts )and everyone loved them! Maybe by July some of the more current patterns will be at our outlet. I saw some things in the 4 new prints (tutti frutti, marina paisley etc), but I was drawn to Provencal. Enjoy your new fun Lizzy

Thanks! So funny, but while commenting on this thread I was watching "The Little Couple" on TLC tonight and Jen has like 3 different bags in the provencal pattern! I definitely like it!

Just sharing my experience. My niece had borrowed my mini-hipster to use on our trip to Chicago last April. She had it stuffed to the max and the strap broke. My Mom brought it to the Vera Bradley store in Watertower Place (they were only a block away!). They let her pick out a BRAND NEW mini-hipster. I was thrilled since they picked me one of the new patterns and it was the updated style.

I really appreciated this level of customer service. Please note that this was a full service VB store, not an outlet.

That is great! Unfortunately mine broke last year, and we don't have any VB stores around here. But I will definitely remember that for the future!

Provencal and the Lizzy are being retired so they are both at the outlets. Orlando had some things at an additional 30%, some at 40, and some at 50. I placed an order the other day over the phone. $8 flat shipping fee. I was able to use my $20 off $75 coupon to make the deal even better.

According to someone at the Orlando outlet they changed the birthday program altogether, she either didn't know what the discount would be or couldn't say but she did say that May would be the last month for the $20 off purchase. She also said it'll be required that you have your card at the time of purchase where as before they could just look at your ID.

I have the Mini Hipster, the Lizzy and the Wallet on a string and the Lizzy is my favorite. I have used the Mini Hipster the last 3 trips but will be using my Lizzy in October.
