What are the prices like, i know they have a deal on £25 for a sitting with 7x5 framed photo.

Are the photos expensive, we normally pay £80ish when we use Olan Mills which includes about 5 photos.

Venture are very good, we had our pics taken just before Christmas with the same deal you've described. BUT the pics are expensive, you would get a free 7"x5" in with the price for your sideboard but when you go for your picture presentation, there is no way you will leave without spending money!

Dont get me wrong we had a really fun time and dont regret the whole experience and we were spoilt for choice with the pics. l think in all we spent £280 plus £25 for the sitting and for that we got our free 7"x5" and 2 10"x8". We could of spent a lot more money but l was strong lol

That is the problem, i'm not strong enough when it comes to pics of DD, and if we get nice ones of the three of us it will be hard, DH had a worried look on his face when i mentioned it, as a friend of his at work paid £1000 her pics.

He did say they were nice.

No way would i pay £1000 for pics, they would have to be gold plated for that price if not gold

According to our tickerfactory count downs we are in SSR at the same time. we leave 19th April, and really excited. Been shopping again, DH away today so i think he his a little scared.

Went a bit OTT, so far got DD t.shirts been buying over the last couple of weeks and counted them on Sunday and have ended up with 18 oops!!!

My frames are just plain black, which i thought wouldnt be that nice but they are ok. With the desktop pics you dont get the little venture stamp, thats only on the wall art. We picked the cheapest pics there were, if l remember correctly some of the wall art went up to two or three thousand, which is like you say way too much!!

l really liked the pics with a mix of black & white and colour all in one but again they only offer that in the wall art. It is truely amazing how they doctor the pics, and the photographers are very clever. They told us that you can always order more copies months down the line but they will eventually delete your pics as they only have limited storage.

Oopps l do that too, put everything away in a cupboard and then when its time to pack you have a count up and you have loads But the shopping is fun lol

I think we've spoke on a previous thread, you go from Gatwick if i remember correctly, we fly from Manchester

I forget sometimes, yes from Gatwick.

Started to plan what we are doing and when, not like we stick to it.

Dining is all sorted, we have added the dining plan and everything is booked.

Hope we are given a room near the main pool.

Have you stayed at SSR yet, this is our first time.

No this will be our 1st time too, very excited about it lol

We havent booked the Dining Plan as we weren't sure whether we'd eat all that food but have made some ADR's. We did a CB last year at AK which was alot of fun but thought we'd try somewhere else this time.

We've bought the 14 day Ultimate Disney tickets so will spend most of our time in the parks where as last year we spent alot of time on ID

Hi Princess Jackson,

As as been previously stated the Venture photographs can be very expensive and even if you go in with a price in mind once they have shown you the beautiful photographs of your family it is very, very hard to stay within budget!!

However, our Olan Mills studio here in Swansea is now taking photographs in the style of Venture at much more reasonable prices. I think this is because Olan Mills just supply the photographs whereas Venture frame the prints and get away with charging a stupid amount of money because of this fact. Their frames are OK but you could easily frame the Olan Mills Venture-like photos in a similar way for a fraction of the cost.

Perhaps you could ask at your local Olan Mills to see if their are doing this in your area.

We stayed at ASM in Dec, and new we were going again so purchased AP, we have just ordered from Universal 2 park and 2 day

More excited about this as been 4 years since done Universal.

We have a lot of character dinning booked. And are trying a lot of resort eating, we only eat mainly on evening apart from DD we try and get her to eat 3 times a day.

Going to book venture for when we return so the photos will show a little colour as we are fair skined.

I'm sure you wont be disappointed with Venture, just be strong when you go for your presentation. Also if you think any members of your family might like copies then invite them too, as additional presentations are charged for. You will also get 10% any pics ordered on your presentation night, good luck

Like Camac, I would recommend you try Olan Mills

We had photos of DD taken last year and paid £75 for a disc, inc a 'free' 10x8 photo which was part of our £25 package (3 10x8 photos over the year)

I printed some of the photos off at home but uploaded the others to Asda for next to nothing

They had some pretty good deals on if you wanted several pictures framed up

Our photo (three in a line) cost over £600 3 years ago! Its not cheap. Having said that, 3 years ago they were quite unique ..
I could have bought all of the photos they were amazing.. but obviously we couldnt afford it!
