Okay, I just have to vent. I work with an idiot. She is a secretary in the office I work at. There are a few of us that like/love to go to Disney (some of us afford it more often than others) and we do discuss upcoming trips, codes, etc. One lady who I'll now refer to the "BIG C (Superior Complaining skills)" has very little good to say and is a constant complainer about everything in life. She really can be a miserable person to work with and don't even get me started about her computer skills (not that I am a genius, but the basics should be known as she has been working with them and the programming for over a decade now, we all think Oldtimers has hit early).
Anyway, I just booked a WDW vacation for this November and have been sharing a bit of my joy with other Disney lovers in the office (people, who like the 69K here, understand a want/need to go to Disney). If I have any luck this is my third year in a row that I will have the pleasure to enjoy WDW (even though I usually go every 2 or 3 years, I have been attempting to go every year when I can afford it).
Well back to the Big C. She has been hearing a few of us discussing Disney and finally desided that her son and grandson want to go so she just have to cave in (she believes Disney is theme park only and really is just enjoyed by children) and be forced to have a vacation there. We've all explained how WDW works and how she may find that she can have fun but she is an idiot and just wants to complain. Anyway, seems like she is targeting a date. So today she got on expedia and another site or two and then complained as her dates were stating everything was booked up (remember she is no computer genius) and no everything wasn't booked up (she was targeting a date in early Feb. and there are no holidays for her dates). Anyway, I explained to her that she actually should check the Disney site itself to price out packaging, then book and wait for code.
As the Big C is just an idiot, she checks out pricing for Coronado Springs and comes back with a total of $665 for herself, son and grandson for 4 day total package. I explain the price is probably for room only (no park tickets). She then insist that it was the price for the total package including tickets (what the heck do I know only after going for 20 years and booking all of this for myself). We've learned that you can't fight with crazy people. So I asked the Big C if she would like to see some pictures of the resort, CSR, as I know her grandson would love the pool and playarea. Well she gets on a site, takes a look at the rooms and starts saying very loudly so everyone could hear "who wants to stay in a room like that, there hidious, oh year that's right, these are theme parks made for children, yada, yada, yada . . ."
Now, I don't particularly like the the way the rooms look either at CSR but do I still want to stay there for a few days and just enjoy the environment in general - YES. No one is forcing her to go, why doesn't she just shut up and keep her money for another vacation. I am sure that her son and grandson would love to go without her but don't have the money to do so. BTW she is now targeting a stay at the Poly so if your staying in early February and hear someone complaining ALL THE TIME, it's the Big C.
Sorry to type this but just wanted to vent.
