My friend Polly keeps asking me why I hang out with "uncool" people.
Why should she care? She tells me im gonna lose my popularity. IM NOT EVEN POPULAR.
I told her I hang out with them because their fun to be around. Deal with it.
Maybe their called nerds..because their smarter than you. You dont have to be rude about it, Polly.
Their my friends. And if you wanna judge them, then why should I be your friend?
It sounds rude. But she makes fun of them like their nothing.
Their human beings, Polly. Just like you and me.

Ugh.
I'm really really really glad I'm not in middle school anymore.
My friends would be like 'Why are you friends with her?'
Like half of them hated each other.
Drama is so far out of my life.
Everythings nice and relaxed now.

Sorry. You should tell Polly how you feel. And if she doesn't like your friends, she isn't a real friend.

Polly is the kind of person who thinks she perfect. And the most popular girl in school.
She mostly makes fun of my friend Emily.
Polly doesnt have many friends. And she baggs on people who have more friends then her.

Gosh. If I never moved, I doubt I would be going through this is homeschool.
Stupid public.

I'm sorry Cassidy I hang out with who ever i want I'm friends with the most popular girl in school and her friends but i'm also friends with the "un cool" kids I really dont care besides i find the "uncool" kids to be nicer adn friendlier the the "cool" kids

It sounds like Polly isn't a real friend. She sounds controlling and jealous. I'd tell her how it is and if it doesn't stop, cut all ties with her.

That would be reason enough for me not to be friends with her.

I agree. No offense but I hate people like that.

I don't get what makes people think they have the right to make fun of somebody. I don't even know Polly, and already I know that she is not a better person then Emily. That sounds hypocritical but honestly, why do people think that way?

Polly has no right to judge who you are friends with.

This year 2 of my friends decided they didnt want to be friends anymore (well, one of them decided- I'm trying to shorten the story) and I'm still friends with both of them. I said "you're still both my friends, if you don't like eachother, I don't care, I refuse to choose. If I'm put in that position by one of you, I will choose the other one because that means theh other one doesn't care who I'm friends with. And that is what I look for in a friend."

(Not the exact words, so I'm sorry if its confusing)

If she continues to make fun of your friends, tell her what you put in the first post.

Why should you worry about being popular?

Make sure you ask your friend that.
Tell her she needs other things, "real" things to worry about.

Life is too short to worry about being popular.

Once you're out of school, "popular" won't matter. Be happy with what you do today, because in the future, it doesn't matter what your friends' "status" was. What will matter is your grades and your own happiness.

I didnt read ALL of it because the part that said "uncool people" made me want to rip off the screen and scream.

The uncool people are the populars.

There I said it.

NOW
I will read it.

Honestly.
Its alrightie
If she doesnt like that , then shes not worth it.

The unpopulars are some the best people you will ever meet.

This topic also makes me mad.
Who in the world made these "popular" people...popular? Did some KING or QUEEN tell them that they're the better half of the school?? No. It's them that said it.
Those "popular" kids are the only ones that think they're popular. Nobody made them like that, they did it to themselves.
It's annoying. I hate it. But it's everywhere.
So, before you think of someone as popular, just understand: Who made them any better than you? You're way too good for that, and you're probably a lot happier than they are.

Oh, and this wasn't directed to you at all. This is my mini-rant for "popular" kids. You did the right thing by telling her that you don't care.

ITA Pirate.

In second grade I was friends with this one chick, Vasoula. She was pretty 'popular' and...fortunate (aka lots of money.) Anyways I really also loved being friends with this girl named Madison. Well Vasoula didn't like Madison so she told me to choose. I chose Maddi and haven't really talked to Vasoula since even though we live pretty close to each other.

What I'm getting at, is school kids can be petty. Once you get out of high school, you'll have different priorities and these things won't matter as much.

I dont wanna be popular.

Popular:
Wont make me better grades
Wont get me real friends

Wow, was that her real name?

Anyway, it's true once you get out of high school your priorities totally change.

Whomever makes you laugh the most, and the one who makes you the most comfortable is the one to stick with. Do it for yourself, not for the popular people and not for the unpopular people. As long as you don't let ANYONE rule you, you will always be happier.

Popular people are popular because they say so and people listen. People idolize the popular crowd for some reason or another (usually power, but also for money, clothes, cars, etc). I don't understand it, and I never have.
