I'm taking two online classes over the summer. It's working out ok, since the kids are off school. One of the classes, health related, is turning into a real pain in the rear. The professor's lack of directions for projects is totally :confused3 . We post questions asking for clarification, but we don't get answers. The directions are limited and poorly written. :rolleyes1 It's so frustrating!!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: How do people get and keep these jobs?????? :confused3 :rolleyes1   I can't wait for review time!!!!! ;) ;) ;) :teeth:

Don't risk your grade over the prof's unprofessionalism.

I went to the dean 2X when I was in college. Once was because during a 4 week summer session, the prof went home to India for 2 weeks and didn't get anyone to cover his classes.

The other time was over nonsense another prof was pulling over my final grade.

I won both times. The first prof was disciplined by administration. The second wound up leaving the school. While I don't think I was the cause of his leaving, I know he was disciplined and I'd like to think I had a hand in his departure :smooth: even though he left for another prof job. ;)

Do you have an advisor? If so, email him/her. I am also taking online classes, which I love. However, I think sometimes, online student's questions get pushed to the back burner, because we are not right there face to face with the instructor.

So start emailing people above the professor now. I always go about it in a nonconfrontational way like 'I think there may be a mix up or a problem, I don't seem to be getting a response to my questions..'

RU~ I don't want to make any waves now. This course is only 6 weeks. So far, I've have earned the maximum # of points. Did I mention how the prof.'s grading scale is different than any other I've ever seen? ;) I just overload my projects with information and include everything that I think may pertain to the subject. :bitelip:

There is one project due in the next couple of days and I just keep looking at the paper trying to decide what info to include. :confused3  :dance3:

DM~ It's just this professor. The other online class that I'm taking has been great. The professor is really involved and very quick to reply and answer questions.

I don't think that my grade will be in jeopardy, I will just have to do extra work. Like I said, I don't want to make waves right now. :bitelip:

Gotta admit I'm teaching a couple of on-line classes right now and I know that at least one of my students posts on the DIS. (But I don't know her "handle" here).

Opened this in a flash - paranoid that it might be about me.

Honestly, I check my on-line classes each and everyday, do all grading once a week and answer e-mail within 24 hours!

I don't think it's you, unless you're in S. FL. Then, maybe? :teeth: :teeth: Just kidding!
