Vendor Meals

Our current dilemma is the 50 person maximum in the Napa Room.

I am looking at an 8 or 10 hour photography package and would hate to just feed them a deli sandwich. I would love for them to sit and eat with us like civilized people :rotfl: That accounts for 2 place settings in the room.

I've read several threads on this so I'm cool with the photographers part... I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to get them a plated meal--or I could tell them to raid the pre-reception food and do a vendor meal. Ugh--we'll see. I think if they put up with me for 8-10 hours they deserve a filet. :rotfl2: The timeframe will be based upon what time Wishes is that night. Let's pray it doesn't fall on a MVMCP night where it's really late. The later the fireworks--the more hours I need.

Enough Babble.... Here are my real questions:

What does the planner and their assistant do for food? Do you feed them? I would assume so, but I wasn't sure. That would take another 2 from the 50 guest limit we're rapidly approaching. What did you/your planner do?

Is there anyone else I'm missing?? We're not doing video--so count that out.

Suggestions welcome :)

When I went to my planning session I asked my planner if he would like a meal, and he said that the planners normally just eat on their own, but he appreciated me asking him. I'm getting deli plates for my photographers and videographer, I do feel kind of weird about that, but I think they're used to it and also, my reception wont be as long as yours and it's ending at 3pm so they will still have time to get dinner on their own.

Like Julie said, the planner and assistant are taken care of.
I did add my photographers to my guest count for dinner and will be seating them with our guests, but that's just our personal preference and we know they will get along wonderfully with the friends we are sitting them with.

We are having them with us the whole day long, so I just couldn't have it any other way. :thumbsup2

If your question relates to a real situation comes in the future, I would probably ask the photographers what they would like to eat maybe give them some options instead of completely open ended or to explain that the food might not be super spectacular. Most photographers I know would not care - we're not food critics, you know.

We are just having a small reception meal at Citricos and have asked Randy to join us as our guest. I am delighted that he has accepted. It will be lovely to have him eat with us!!
